I did it. I am 70. I also had to install extended battery side posts myself. I have a side post battery. But I switched them out myself too. So if you have side post battery you can still do it yourself. 👍👍👍
I have a side terminal battery too , with no room for a socket and ratchet plus they had a weird shape so I had to buy a special tool but I did mine myself with no one to watch or help either.

I have one for my house, my brother in-law installed it but it was pretty simple. I have one for my car on the way hopefully I can install it myself without calling him.

Call the company, they will walk you through it. They are awesome to work with, especially Amber. I don’t have anyone to show or help me either. I think I had 4 people trying to help me with the one for my solar before we realized ordered the wrong one. Now I’m waiting for the replacement but I know how to connect it on my own. When I get the home one I’ll probably have to call for help with it but Amber already explained it very well.

Being grounded to the ground plays no part in an EMP on an automobile. We saw a car get struck by lightning driving down the road and blew all four tires out and burnt the car. We asked how this was possible they said because the tires are steel belted radials they act as a ground. The government is putting them on there vehicles for protect also. They've showed us testing that worked every time.

Wanda that's exactly how I handle a socket wrench! I think I can do this. Planning to put one on my 250. Only thing is, I have to stand on my step ladder to reach everything.

Hi Wanda thank you for sharing this showing us ladies that we can install an EMP shield on our cars or anything else if we put our minds to it and take our time doing it.
I tried to install my EMP shield on my car months ago and got discouraged and quit. It is still sitting in the box in my closet. I am going to try again before I take it to the mechanic. Thanks for such clear directions.
My emp box is stuffed inside my air intake manifold. It snapped one of the fasteners off after using a file to make a little hole so the wires could escape, but that's where mine is. Then it maybe over kill but scrapped the coating off of a patch of metal under the hood to make sure I had a dead solid grounding wire space.
My battery is in the trunk so I'm going to have take a good look at it it might take me all summer to purchase these emps I have to save the money for each one I looked them up a couple of times and I noticed the ones I looked at went from 300 ➕ to over 500 that's an incredible high increase that's why it's going to take me time I'm hope and praying to the lord I have the time my husband alwysays right tighty and lefty lucy(loosey) he always makes a joke out of lol
It shouldn't matter whether a woman or man; it depends on the mechanical aptitude of the person. I'd seen man who can't do a lot of things. I would have been very impressed if Danny wasn't there, and Ms. Wanda figured it out did it all by herself.
Not about a power surge in the car. If an EMP or electromagnetic pulse happened, my car should still run so I can get home. EMP shuts down the electronics part of the car.
Danny question. Do these void a warranty on a vehicle at all? I have a new 2020 Ford Edge that is under full warranty with only 10,000 miles on it and the warranty is especially important to me now that my husband can't work on vehicles any longer.
Just because you are a woman doesn't mean you can't follow basic instructions. I really wish these weren't quite so expensive as I feel one on your vehicle is crucial. What if you are out and can't get back home if a EMP or CME happened. I know i have physical limitations that i cannot walk very far and with my husband being ill he can't hardly walk at all.

If someone teues ro steal yiur car when you're not around use needle nose oliers and just take out yiur starter fuse. Car won't start without the started bwahahahhahaha. I've had to wise up living near Atlanta.
