“I lost my hearing aids and I was terrified by the size of the water mountains”. What a nice man to come and thank her for her help even though his English wasn’t 💯% perfect!
Aww “water mountains” I actually respect the German man, he came and spoke with her after and was respectful and apologetic. Bless him. At least he wasn’t a non swimmer in the middle of massive waves/rips, he was genuinely body boarding👍 well Done Nicola👏
The face he also was either hard of hearing or deaf as well as not being in his native language I feel Nicola handled it really well and his attitude afterwards was great
I've been binge watching these. I have really bad anxiety/depression and I don't know why or how but watching these help me feel ok, if only for a little bit. Thank you for taking the time to upload all these videos, it is really appreciated.
@@matthewthomas2885 Seriously? You have to take everything so negatively? I meant it made me feel good to watch them interacting with people, saving them, having a laugh together. How sad I have to explain that to you.
I hate when people fake injuries! That could of been someone’s life and she just made him/her loose it never fake anything because you could take someone’s life
I've always wondered about the female Bondi lifeguards. Thank you for showcasing Nicola and letting us hear her story. She's a total badass, and I hope she continues to inspire other women as well.
@@erinleaf1533 Not all of them, the camera crew have to often get into the water. They also often help people onto sandbanks and stuff before in mass rescues when the team is stretched. They deserve a lot of praise.
@laura denieffe Exactly. I can’t stand liars. What was that all about? Just for some kind of attention? Whatever, it was warped and such a waste of the lifeguards, paramedics, and hospital personnel’s times not to mention a waste of money. Really ticked me off.
@@deemariedubois4916 she just wanted to be on Bondi rescue! That's why I'm so glad that producers blurred her stupid face out because she wasted valuable time and resources. I'm sure she is the same girl that's in another episode they mention that she is known to the lifeguards for faking injuries, I'm sure it's to get on the show
She could of been after trying to claim for injuries from one of the surfers whose board she said hit her that’s my theory anyway. I think if she was a drug seeker she would be after stronger than the green whistle I’m an ex heroin addict who hasn’t used since July 99 and a couple of years ago I dislocated my elbow and they gave me a green whistle and it did nothing and the paramedic said that Heroin alters the brain which was probably why the whistle wasn’t working and my brain saw it as not been strong enough to work, not sure if that’s true but he probably knows more than I do.
@@Audiomaker49 but the feeling you get is mad one minute I’m lying on the footpath after getting hit by a car and next minute I’m cracking jokes with the paramedics wondering what’s for dinner 😂
It's lovely to see how the guys can set aside their egos and give Nicola the respect she truly deserves! Something rarely seen in a male dominated environment..
i know its nearly as bad as when a man enters a female dominated world such as teaching or nursing, then there lives are made a misery, trust me nothing more sexist than a group of women with a man trying to work, probably because they know they can get away with it.
@@niccauvin6124 it's ironic you say that since there have been studies showing that the reason why men actively choose not to go into those fields, is because of the peer pressure and sexist ideals encouraged by other men. a lot of men consider nursing and teaching, "feminine" and "submissive" roles and don't want to lower themselves to that stereotype (a stereotype that was originally enforced by a male ruling society all the way back to the early 1900's). not to mention, in both fields, men are paid more.
@@uneagerly men are not paid more on an hour by hour basis though are they, otherwise every business would only employ women as they exist to make profit, and i don't subscribe to the women can do no wrong mentality, I believe in true equality not blame men for everything, and when ive seen with my own eyes how men are treated in a female environment on more than one occasion no theory will convince me otherwise, or by the same logic as female mechanics and builders are deemed as butch by other women it is still blamed purely on men.
@@deusvult6920 dont know where your from but most countries it is illegal to pay a male and female worker differently on a like for like basis (eg same hours qualification and experience) but in the uk there arnt many male teachers and when there are they are treated like crap, same with factory work, men are expected to do all of the strenuous jobs whilst being paid the same and getting treated like crap, my whole point is that modern equality seems to be very one sided.
When Nicola said that the girl from Bronte killed herself, my heart literally dropped. I felt it throb with sadness but then I was happy that her friends were focusing on surfing with Nicola to make themselves feel better. Nicola is such a role model to me, and i'm so glad that she is for many others. :))))
In high school a bunch of us in English class discovered we were all fans of Bondi Rescue and our teacher would play these compilations in class for us during down time. It was awesome!
How great of your teacher to play Bondi Rescue episodes for you all during downtime, you went to a great school. How long have you been a Bondi Rescue fan for?
The ending made me emotional, just to see the bond these guys have together is just absolutely beautiful. And saying goodbye to a colleague you have worked with for so long... it hit me
H is an incredible man. Every season it was great to cheer him on for another season in hopes he could keep going. You've been an inspiration. All the best still going out to you and your wife man, but sad to see you go. I wish people like you could go on forever. Thanks to your wife and family for their sacrifices in sharing you with us and his long time life saving efforts. Can't say enough about you. And Nicola ... keep your chin up, your example and work are beyond admirable. So proud of and impressed with your efforts to rise above adversity and build others. Well done!
I hope Nikola understands how absolutely amazing and helpful she is being by being honest about her dyslexia and depression. It's so important for people with similar issues! ❤️❤️❤️
H man will be missed. Amazing work in your career H man. Harry Nightengale you’re a True Legend. Congratulations 🎉 Happo, May your life with Tracy be filled with Joy
H(arry) is a real LEGEND...just look at how all of them love and appreciate him , calling him a beautiful soul , he absolutely deserve it, so much respect to this man , gonna miss seeing him but I wish him a happy life 😭💚
Did anyone else catch the German guy calling the waves “water mountains”, it made me laugh so hard. I’m also German (well, I’m American but I’m of German decent) and my cousin who lives in Germany also has a hard time with a language barriers and it’s funny the words she comes up with for stuff because she doesn’t know what it’s called in English 😂
You do realise though, that "water mountains" is just the very literal translation for the German word "Wasserberge", right? The word may not exist in English but it certainly does in German...
Some english words are just confusing and hard to learn😅 but it goes the other way around too for people trying to learn german😂 I have seen so many people struggeling with the word Überraschung 😂
The funny thing is that in german this kind of compound nouns make total sense. We do it all the time, a vacum for example is a "Staubsauger" a "dust-sucker" we just name things by throwing descriptive nouns etc. together to form one word, that is how german works xD
German is a language where you are technically allowed to put together two or more substantives to make a new one. So "Wasserberge" (lit. water mountains)is a metaphoric combined substantive, which is used, when you have really big surf or a flood or something alike. It's a cool language if you love writing poems, as it is even allowed, to create even new words through recombination.
I love the fact that after an injury, the way they decide if the person is ready to go back to normal duties is having the person take part in a really hard race 😂😂 love this show so much 🤣🤣
Love, peace, good health & happiness be with you all. May H and his wife be blessed every day of their lives. H will be missed greatly. He is a legend and his legacy will live on forever in Bondi and in all he touched, even those just watching him online. He has earned the respect, gratitude and love of everyone. 💕💕💕 Thank you, H.
School is a very very short period in your life.......I honestly cannot remember the names of the "people" who gave me a hard time. I'm 42 now......the popular ones at school really struggle when school finishes.....they have no life skills, i.e making friends, cause they are use to people flocking to them. Tough it out and look forward to your school reunions. Trust me, I have no reason at all to write this if it wasn't true. All the best
GOOOO NICOLA!!! Represent!!! You are AWESOME, gf! You’ve accomplished so much, you should ALWAYS be proud of yourself! Know your worth! You’re priceless!!! You make me proud to be a female! 💕💕💕
What a fabulous episode! Packed with every emotion. I’m left so touched by “H’s” retirement! He was such a stud. I really related to him, being a 67y/o guy. He is an icon and a role model. I love this show so much - genius!
I am just looking at this, and then I realise Bondi has to be happy with such a great team of lifeguards. Back here where I live we got lifeguards too, and a rescue company which goes out by boat when people are missing, boats are in trouble or there is heavy weather on the way. The lifeguards are to patrol the beach and help people in need, getting them out of rips, preventing them from going into rips and all kinds of other stuff. I now realize how vital they are to our community, whatever country they are in. I give credit to every lifeguard in this world.
Found Bondi Nation UTube surfing.... now I’m addicted! Experiencing Australian life guard experiences is amazing. Well done to film crew and BN producers for presenting rescues from a perspective that makes us feel we are there! The exciting, adrenaline pumping, and exciting day to day experiences of the life guards at Bondi Beach is heart pumping and often light hearted. Wow! Well done BN crew and cast! A REAL presentation of BN surf rescues!
I'll miss h but I'm glad he got to do what he loved for so long. Now he can rest and enjoy the rest of his life. Still hope he pops in on the newer seasons though
Shouldn't Koreans learn English because they are the ones coming here? Why would you go to a country without learning the basics of the language first?
Nicola is so inspiring and badass. I also love how much the guys support her. H's poor wife, walking along the beach, holding hands, suddenly her hand is empty, H walking back sopping, "someone needed help".
Love the wedding between Harpo and Stacy. Love the romance of this show. Harry H-man Nightingale might be 64 but he’s amazing. His no BS attitude cracks me up. He and his wife Jeanette are so adorable together. My true love, my husband, and I will celebrate our 39th anniversary this year, we raised six kids, and are best friends. My husband Larry-yes rhymes with Harry, lol-has the same incredible blue eyes as Harry. Hope Harry’s party was a real ripper. If COVID is ever under control, my husband and I are determined to take our long dream vacation to Australia. We’ve always wanted to visit. Thanks y’all.
Cannot stop watching! You guys deserve so much credit for the work you do. Putting up with stubborn people that won’t follow the rules and end up in near death situations is difficult, but you guys do it with charm and class. Keep safe out there! We Americans love you guys! A Bondi beach visit is on my “bucket list!” I’ll be sure to swim between the flags!
All the lifeguards looked more handsome in tuxes! Such a beautiful and emotional wedding. On a completely different subject my teacher (who is insanely hot) looks like a FBI agent when he dresses up and has sunnies on
I really appreciate Bondi for actually making these videos because they not only make me calm when I watch them I also relief stressed about my exams and watching them save lives just makes me wanna go down to a beach and saves lives and I know that they stay for morning to afternoon but I mostly go out in the beach at night because it is very calming and my wish right now is to go down to bondi beach and just enjoy my time there Bondi nation/rescue thanks for making these videos because now I'm no longer scared of drowning and going into the ocean anymore and Im really happy about that 🤗😊
H man. I’ve really enjoyed watching him. He’s a no nonsense kind of person a lot like myself and one of my all time favorite Bondi men. I hope he is enjoying his retirement with his lovely wife.
I've been binging this show (out of order) like crazy since I stumbled upon it weeks ago. I'm so sad to see that H retired. I hope he and his wife are loving their retirement and living peacefully. ❤️
I miss H, he was actually my favorite. BECAUSE of all his quirks. I get why they'd be annoying to young people, but I find them hysterical. I don't understand why you have to be polite to swimmers who put others' lives at risk out of over-arrogance. They NEED to be yelled at!
I love seeing everyone so happy at the end. This whole season is great. These never get old. I hope to have the privilege of swimming at that awesome beach someday. I've always dreamed of visiting Australia some day. It's getting a little too stagnant here in upstate NY.
I love watching all of these guys. What they do on a daily basis takes my breath away. You’re amazing all of you! Thank you for these uploads. You really take my head away from my own nonsense into a world of awe.
