She sounds like she was an entitled asshole before a drop ever touched her lips. Alcohol is an excuse.

My parents did it in an interesting way, from a young age (then legally allowed like 16) we were allowed small amounts at home under supervision. Over time the events and amount was increased till we legally could at 18. The result, my siblings and I barely drink because we don't get an adrenaline high from it. It wasn't something naughty, just a substance we had to learn to use.

@@charlenebaganzmooreI think genetics have a lot to do with it because some people have that experience, some people can have their first drink at 21 and take it or leave it…some kids get ahold of it at 13 and become addicted which I cannot imagine the supervision going on there but it happens…and other people pick it up for the first time in college and kill their liver by the time they are 40. It’s really got a genetic component but how much we feed it…how much it helped us when we first tried it likely plays a huge part. I have always been really fascinated by the statistics around addiction. Someone that I always think about is Anthony Hopkins. He quit drinking around age 37, in 1975…which was 3 years before I was born. 16 years later he won an Oscar for Silence of the Lambs, and that was in 1991…two years later he was knighted by QEII. Just goes to show that it is never too late to get sober and a reminder of how tragic it might even be to rob yourself of the moments life could hold.
