She wants love. It's what most people want. Heartbreaking. I hope she can find a companion.

I'm wondering if she is developing some form of dementia. The statements she made about him lack any common sense in their formulation. Or maybe she suffers from the Rose Colored Glasses Syndrome, (as I call it). She is so needy emotionally that she will stand by her man, no matter what.

Because some people will believe anything even by people they don't even know. It's usually lonely people who want something new and the scammer comes along and says all the right things.

I think a lot of her “education” is a dramatized use of the word. Like when she said that about true crime. Just because you read a paper on something, or even a whole book, it doesn’t mean you’re “educated” in the subject. Her ego is off the charts and very misplaced 🙈

Meh. Most RN’s do not have much education. It only takes about 2 years to obtain an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN). These degrees are often obtained from a community college.

FYI she only has a BS in psych meaning it was her college major. In most states a PhD is required to be licensed as a psychologist/psychotherapist. With a Master's degree you can call yourself a counselor. With a BS, you can call yourself a job hunter.

Well….from what she said and having worked in inpatient psychiatry units, sounds like she had an undergrad psych degree and a nursing degree. Neither of those are therapists or decide treatments. It takes additional training and licensing to be a therapist…not just a psych undergrad degree. The nursing is great and a good nurse can be just as vital and life-saving in medicine as physicians, but they a team members and mostly provide the hands on, day-to-day care. Unless they have further degrees (like nurse practitioner) they don’t diagnoses or decide treatment themselves (though if a good, experienced nurse tells you they think a patient has a particular condition or complication, only a very foolish physician would disregard that). The good nurses are amazing, but the field also attracts many who aren’t suited to it….some just want the title and inherent respect, some the paycheck and job security, or any field with caregiving can attract wounded people to it.
