Nah it's more painful than you think. Similar thing happened to me too but in a bus when a kid keeps tapping at the back of my seat. My head bounced every time he hit and when it bounce back in the seat, the stiffness of the seat made my head all dizzy and nauseous. If it only happened once then it might be fine but he kept going on for like an hour. I can feel that woman's pain. (Unlike her, I didn't say anything to since I'm the shy type.)

Yup! Booked a flight to Germany and immediately purchased the exit row seat for $85. I don't have to worry about that problem for 7 hours.

How can you justify the man's behaviour? If it's possible to recline, then the person has the right to recline. The lack of space is not the problem of the person that reclined. It's the problem with the airline and the person who booked that seat. Don't book the last seat if you want space. It's the man's fault that he book such a seat. I'll need it leaned back for an hour to get this pressure off my spine but I'll lean it forward after then." It wasn't a big deal, it's just not what we had expected, so I don't know that the guy would've been able to know how it would be before buying the ticket.
