Hey Roman! That IWC Perpetual is my next bucket list watch. Retail is looking like 40k plus though. Am I missing dealers should have it for 20k? Is that from an AD?
Think the AP Grande Complication is my favourite watch Roman has ever showed me. Love the design, size, weight and the minute repeater sounds so good. Give me this beast over a RM all day.
You’ll recall I have the IWC (Limited Edition of 27) 150th Anniversary Tourbillion and can’t even give it away. I do love the IWC brand however as I also have the DaVinci perpetual calendar and love it. (I do have 2 other Tourbillion but that’s another discussion) That AP Minute Repeater is fantastic and that chime is mesmerizing. Thx fir sharing.... awesome job as always. 👊🤙
As far as perpetuals go the code 1159 perpetual I find has a way more appealing case design than the iwc perpetual calendar. That being said the dials and sub dials on the iwc are timeless. Perhaps within the next years we will see more variety in color combination from AP C1159
Hi Roman - challenge accepted... what about the JLC Master Ultra Thin Perpetual as a contender for the IWG? You gotta love the slimness of that piece vs. the IWC. However, I have to say rose gold in combination with black is a killer... :)
Hi Roman, love JLC, such a great brand. Don't always understand the mindset of most people who only want sports models. Let's be honest, if I'm going diving, I'm not pulling on a Fifty fathoms or a sea-dweller, if I'm playing soccer I'm not going to wear patek Nautilus or a Royal Oak.
Watch prices are absolutely insane nowadays. I do believe watches in terms of interest/popularity are at an all time high and this level of interest will not be sustained in perhaps the next 10-20 years. Just as no one cared as much for watches in 1995, I think individuals extrapolating todays irrational exuberance for timepieces growing exponentially in the future are also misguided. There will be a correction of sorts and the prices will come down. I don't know if it will be a lot or perhaps a 30-35% correction from where we are today.

I’d never wear a gold bracelet watch; way too flashy for me. The most I’d do is rose gold on a leather or rubber strap. White gold? Sure if it’s a dress watch otherwise why have a soft metal sports watch?
