@@dr.pacohintonjr.8988 She entered the 100 in 2008, 2010 and 2012. She reached a final in 2008. She won the tittle in 2010 and she reached a 3rd place in 2012. In other years, she won the US tittle over the 200 in 2004,2005, 2007, 2008,2009 and 2012. She also got a 2nd place in 2003 at the age of 17 and also in 2013. Over the 400, Felix won the title in 2011, 2015, and 2016. She did not participate in national US trials in 2006, 2014 (because of injury) and 2017(she got the ticket to worlds in London for being the current world champion from 2015). She did not participate in 2018 because she was pregnant. In 2019, she made the top 6 to make the relay team after 8 months of having a C-section. She reached the gold and World record over the mixed 4*400 that same year. In 2021, she reached a 2nd place over the 400 and a final over the 200.
Now what Nike?!? Pay your female athletes equally and fairly. Allyson is the pinnacle of what women bring to track and field athletics and is loved by many for being such a tremendous athlete as well as a gracious, and wonderful person. Everyone was cheering for her because she is just lovely. Thank you Athleta for the sponsorship. Congratulations on a 5th!! 5th, Olympic Games....that's amazing. Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020 (2021)!! What an athlete!!
A sad statement on Nike’s true commitment to womens track and field. They spend more on their ad campaign to PROVE tgey support womens sports than sponsoring women like Queen of USA track
Nothing against women or felix but companies will pay according to what they can sell not according to accomplishments.. example usain bolts shoes selll soo much more so nikes gona pay him more. If only a few are buyin felix stuff than why would nike want to pay more.. women need to get more people to watch and buy their stuff if they want this companies to pay them more.
We really love alison and Jetter when Camelita Jetter came to Jamaica she as loud a cheer as shelly Ann and veronica. Was so happy to have her here and she won to and was warmly recieved by the 30 000 people who were in the stands.
She's a threat when I'm rooting for Jamaica, especially the 200 but I can't help but admire and Respect her drive. Kendall Ellis has won my heart over.
When I tell you I’m Jamaican and I was screaming for Allyson lol thou she’s Jamaican enemy In track and field you can’t hate Allyson she’s a very nice humble athlete 😃
@@benitosmith9299 Jamaicans almost have to cheer for the Americans in the 400m and 4X400 relay. Most Jamaican sprinters want to run 100m and 200m and Bolt proved that.
I am so proud of alison felix, we in jamaica love her. Not only is she representing her country she is showing that at her age and being a mother is powerful.
Allison Felix, una buena corredora de 400 mts. una famila bonita, sólo que aveces no siempre heredan los hijos y pueda que ya hereden en los hijos menores de lo buena que ella es en el atletismo 👍
@@carlaallen1734 You are right to ask that question, I don't know any serious Jamaican who speaks like that. Especially about someone ( who happens to be so undeniably talented) set to run in the same race as Shelly-Ann.
@@TheJCMlove no real yaadie would ever utter these words.. Over the great Usain and Shelly-Ann??? We have too much pride. Allyson is a phenomenal athlete but she is not ranked top 5 in fastest times for her categories nor does she have as many individual gold titles to be proclaimed the greatest.
@@mikeylikey6176 It doesn't matter who anchors as the USA is to strong of a team and they won't even be challenged. The race is going to be for 2nd, 3rd and 4th place.
@@alexarihani2902 actually, the athlete who got lane 4 was behind Felix in semifinal. Though, Felix got lane 8 and a slower athlete got lane 4. I did not get that part.
All 3 of the US qualifiers are 1 second slower than 18 year old Christine Mboma of Namibia ran in a meaningless meet in Poland the other day, crushing European athletes by 25 meters. Looks like a race for silver
ATHING MU would’ve won this race, her time in the 400m was 49.65 ( I think ) faster than this whole heat. I’m not sure why she didn’t attempt the 400/800 double when they are on different days & would give her adequate rest time.
She probably wouldn’t have won. She just raced last weekend and as were seeing the NCAA athletes aren’t running as fast. Randolph Ross ran 43.85 last weekend and this weekend he barely qualified for Tokyo with 44.74.
Those 3 plus Athing Mu could be the 4X400m relay team. The problem is the USA is so deep with talent that they have been known to use the 2 400m hurdlers to run in the relay.
She’s announced that she’s on the team! Really happy for her but yes because there is so much talent she may not get to run as much as the others. But I think she’ll run in the mixed 4x4 at least.
@@waynehentley4332 They all will probably run in the prelims but who is going to run in the finals? There will be some disappointed people who aren't selected for that final team.
I love Felix as a sprinter and she ran hard to earn her spot. The total lack of appreciation for Manson and especially Anderson by the announcers is terrible. The 3 gals in the 3 inside lanes are the future of USA 400m aside from ating moh and mcgloughlin. We all know Felix has come along way back is an amazing athlete but give some respect to the others. Cheers
@charlie ward I know my facts sir. Seen it many times!😅😅I stick by my opinion! Back then, Howard's opener was the slowest leg at 49.4. The other three were all sub 49. The best US team since then was 1993 Worlds with Gwen opening in 49+.
those surround🇯🇲 Jamaica Sprint athletes Usain bolt, Shelly Ann Fraser-pryce, alia atkinson, asafa powell 🇯🇲Jamaican in sport KEEP FIGHT me down & have pembroke pines police take me out GYM🏋️😭
American female quartet in 4×400m will win with a new world record at Tokyo Olympics. The strong team includes Hayes, Felix, Mu, Sydney, Muhammad, Jonathas and Little. This is my personal opinion though.
Hmmm I wonder who is going to win the 4 x 400 this year?? The US women's track team is so strong this year. Gabby T and Sydney M, picking up Allyson's mantle for power, strength and grace. I'm Canadian but cheering for those 3 for sure.
I’m always struck by the number of black athletes totally outnumbering whites. Do black athletes simply have speed in their genes? From a white South African, loving athletics and looking forward to the Olympics.
