The 29th annual Women and Wellness Luncheon at The Jefferson Hotel on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024, was a spectacular celebration of the power of women in the fight against cancer. In it's 29 year history, Women and Wellness has raised over $5 million for cancer research at VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center. This year, co-chairs Tara Daudani and Jill Thalhimer Campbell, shared their story and unique connection. Tara is a seven-year survivor or triple negative breast cancer, the same type of cancer that took Jill's mother's life 14 years ago. in the years between the two woman's diagnoses, research and standard of care treatments for triple negative breast cancer made leaps and bounds. Daudani's survival is a testament to that, and an inspiration for Campbell and other women advocating for and supporting cancer research.
