When I look back on my previous relationship (my first and only relationship at 26), I realize that she couldn't put aside her pride and ego and admit she made mistakes. I owned up to my mistakes. I was emotional, raw and forthcoming. She simply told me "well thats your own fault". That single statement gutted my self esteem to the point that I slit my wrists 25 times, constantly hearing those words in my head. It os coming up on my 2 year anniversary of my suic*de attempt on the 21st. I honestly don't want a relationship in today's society, that is what it taught me. If someone is unwilling to see things from another's point of view, the relationship is doomed from the start. So many people today are unwilling to see anything other than their own line of sight.
