Today I visited my dear friend Ksenia, whom I’ve known since 2012. We both live near each other on Samal Island, and we had the chance to catch up over a delicious lunch. I stopped by a local café to pick up some authentic Filipino food, and we enjoyed a heartfelt conversation while sharing a meal together. Very nice of you to visit Ksenia. As she is part of the community maybe you or whoever is free can help deliver fruits and veggies to her house when she needs some. She clearly needs a helping hand. I noticed that her husband, Alex is very helpful to all of you, he is everywhere helping. As a Filipina I have my own set of female friends I can hang out with now and then, it's necessary for our well-being. We eat out or just do simple "potluck" lunch. Westerners are very private people but Filipinos are very social, getting together for whatever reason is just part of life.

I just finished watching the video and i love the energy you two have. I myself is a mother with 2 boys so i can relate very well with the sacrifices we do for our children. Although im just watching but it felt like you two are my friends in real. You both are authentic and natural. I also agree with you both saying, we women needs each other's support once in a while. Love this conversation. In the city, its easier to get together because of proximity to each other. Female bonding is common among friends. We regularly go on a girls’ night out.

That's a great idea women's circle to support each other especially for Moms..I truely understand that feelings of Ksenia as I'm also a mom of two toddlers living alone in the Czech Republic. Miles away from my parents and siblings is so frustrating sometimes, that makes me think to start a Vlog to divert my attention because of mental breakdowns sometimes but I'm always hesitant to start.

Ksena, you are such a nice lady. Just a suggestion, if you buy something from the stores/shops and you can not carry them from one store to another, you can just leave them in those stores/shops (you can ask the owners that you want to leave them) then after you finished shopping, you can ask the bao-bao to pass by those shops and pick up the stuff (veggies, fruits, etc that you bought). Nice of you Val for visiting Ksena. Would be good for her if some other women friends visit her from time to time and have some bonding together.

Kensenia it's a Postpartum Doula, they are professional trained work with a new mother and it was traditional practice in Asia ,but in the Philippines it's optional coz mostly mother, aunts , sisters and trusted Yaya who had experience is the one who take care of new mother in the family .

Wonderful get together between friends. I just have an unpleasant comment for you Valentina. Maybe it is CULTURAL thing or a LAPSE in thinking, it was not very polite to eat meat products in the presence of a vegetarian in her home. Maybe you meant no harm but… if you were together in a restaurant and have to order food would be OK, but not at a vegetarian’s home.
