Great Job Guys! Keep them coming! :) And to all the idiots in the comments saying this is not "real" Arabic, get a clue, this *is* the real Arabic. The real Arabic that people speak IN REAL LIFE! The "textbook" Arabic is absolutely not real .. because it's a language that no one speaks in their daily life.
@NonyPink1
@NonyPink1 8 лет назад
No I've a different opinion than yours , Fusha Arabic is spoken on a wide range and not only used in books. for example news anchors speak Fusha Arabic but the viewer doesn't get the feeling that they're speaking in a weird or silly manner . And just so you know , it's only normal that the formal language isn't used among the public,nevertheless it's essential to use it for example in politics , newspapers and newscasts and any thing that's formal . but you're also right when it comes to Egyptian Arabic dialect , it's "REAL ARABIC" and so other Arabic dialects , they're definitely used in every day life. Thus Fusha Arabic is the Formal Arabic but all other different Arabic dialects are the informal language , both are real and both are alive.

News casters use "Standard Arabic" the same way someone uses a second language. It does not come naturally to them.
@NonyPink1
@NonyPink1 8 лет назад
+hasen195 well, I never said it comes naturally, in fact one is born with no vocabulary at all , then while growing we speak what we hear Which is the informal language and that applies to all humans of all languages.then at school one starts to learn the formal dialect and that's where the journey starts. all what I'm saying here is that we need to know and accept that Arabic just like any other language has different dialects, formal and informal, and the language consists of them all and cannot be without one of them.
@hasen1957
@hasen1957 8 лет назад
Nony pink I don't know of many languages that are like Arabic in this regard. English and French speakers don't have this problem. Their spoken language at home is the same language they use for everything. There are formal and informal ways of expression, but that's not the same with Arabic.
@NonyPink1
@NonyPink1 8 лет назад
+hasen195 well the dialect of French and English that's spoken at home isn't the eloquent form of speech that they'd need in other districts of life , I can't imagine the American president for example speaking to the people using "what's up y'all, you is sick people man , freakin love ya America " .believe me all languages are like this same as Arabic , Shakespeare's English is very hard to comprehend to a native who isn't very eloquent in the language , but it's English even though !! . I'd encourage you to do your research on this subject .

@hasen1957 9 лет назад
Jeff Jin Mecca/Medina are absolutely irrelevant (culturally). Even historically .. they almost never were relevant at any point. No one knows what their culture is like or what their dialects are like. The most relevant places are Damascus and Cairo .. Baghdad used to have some relevance but I think it's more historical ..

هذه ليست لغة عربية ، هذه لهجة مصرية ، على المشتغلين بالبرنامج التكلم بالعربية الفصحى و الطلب من الجماهير التكلم باللغة العربية الفصحى ، ما يحدث خطأ كبير و اجرام بحق اللغة العربية
@omarezzel-din8680
@omarezzel-din8680 9 лет назад

@hasen1957
@hasen1957 9 лет назад

ksyriamo Please mind that with our project we want to help people learn Arabic as it is spoken on the streets. There are tons of varieties and dialects of Arabic and we would be happy to represent every single one in our project - as soon as we have people to help us with that. Egypt is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the whole Arab world. It is very useful for people to learn how Arabic is spoken in Egyptian every day life.

Easy Languages I respect your eforts but I want to note you that it's very complicated to explain arabic this way for many reasons: 1- there is more than 200 different accent in arabic countries. 2-all arabs understand formal arabic. 3-when you open newspaper or TV news or when you go to school in arabic land all of them in formal arabic. 4- for slang there is no rules.... 5- in all countries when they teach language they teach the formal and for slang you learn it from the street.(eg. in germany they teach "Hoch Deutsch",in America they teach formal american english... however if you have C1 in German and you go to south Germany you would not understand any thing the same in Wien, or if you learn English and go to texas....) and so on.

Egyptian Arabic is not only spoken in the streets, it is also the Arabic spoken on lunch time by Egyptian people; it is the Arabic spoken by Egyptian celebrities and athletes; it is the Arabic you hear in songs by Egyptian artists. Egyptian Arabic is the Arabic spoken on Egyptian films, which by the way, are famous in all the Arab world. You cannot underestimate the use of Egyptian Arabic, because it is the everyday language spoken by Egyptians. Formal Arabic is used for other purposes but not for everyday communication.
