Hey yall!
THIS VIDEO IS A YEAR OVER DUE! Yall, forgive me. I can't tell yall how much this book changed my life. I used to study the bible randomly and without purpose. I loved scripture but didn't know how to fully study it to the best of my ability.
In this video, I discuss the book Women of the Word: How to Study the Bible with Both our Hearts and our Minds, by Jen Wilkin. I give a review of the book and a general outline of what's inside.
I will have a video up next week over how to study as she illustrates in the book.
I don't study exactly as she recommends but I did start with her process and went from there. I have taken a few ideas out and put a few things in. I made it my own and I believe that is what we should all do. Start with these recommendations and try to find what best works for you and your learning methods.
If Biblically Blonde has helped you in your Biblical Literacy and you’d like to give back to Biblically Blonde, please follow the link here: www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted...

Love and thanks, Lacey
What is Biblically Blonde?
Biblically Blonde is a ministry dedicated to wholehearted living for Christian women. The Bible can be hard to understand and intimidating but through Biblically Blonde, we can learn Gods word and apply it to our lives more than ever before. Biblically Blonde believes all scripture has been given divine authority by God.(2 Timothy 3:16) It is God’s revelation about Himself to man. We believe salvation is a gift from God that is not earned but rather granted by God’s Grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, alone

When you were talking about reading the Bible in a year, that so resonated with me. At the beginning of this year I decided to do that. I am very “check it off a list” oriented so in my mind I was doing a great thing. A couple months in I realized I didn’t have much more knowledge of the Bible, I just had check marks on a list. I started reading Women of the Word and it kills me to abandon a “goal” but it helps to remind myself that the goal was not to check a box but to get closer to God and taking more time is going to better accomplish that. Great review!!

Yes! I have done the same! I felt so bad deciding to stop trying to read in an year but now that’s I’ve started this new method, I’ve read the Bible and comprehended it unlike any before. It’s so easy for us to just read and then not really understand. the Bible was meant to be studied not enjoyed leisurely. I’m glad you found this video! Thank you for the supper!
