The Office of the Special Representative for Women, Peace and Security at NATO promotes and coordinates the implementation of the NATO/EAPC Policy and Action Plan built on the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 and related Resolutions. War and conflict have a disproportionate impact on women and children. Historically women have been left out of peace processes and stabilization efforts. The Women, Peace and Security agenda aims to inspire a new approach to international security, where the views and actions of women are as important as those of men.
