Need a wider demographic of women. Women in their 40's, 20's 30's, and from different social economic back grounds. This all plays a difference in opinions.
I think the demographic of women they have is great! especially for the demographic of men who are watching this. Maybe a single lady in her 40s but that seems niche and this group seems very well chosen and streamlined.
The magic of Ferragamo F Black and Club de Nuit is on the sillage, not good on paper but very nice sillage on the skin, two of the most compliment getters of my collection
That's why people should waft the strips instead of smelling it straight on. People forget that people don't literally smell it on our skin. Some perfumes smell different in the air (sillage) than on my skin. soemtimes i would be like dang that smells really good but when i smell directly on my own skin, it will be a totally differnet experience.
i wear CDN Intense Man around my girlfriend, and she goes absolutely crazy for it. tried a lot of different scents, but she doesn’t say much about the others. CDN is her fav and does not stop complimenting me every time i put it on, without fail. she even contemplated buying a bottle to spray on her pillows when i’m not around. it’s interesting to see how so many “fav scents” are viewed differently by different people.
Nah CDN is a compliment getter women have stopped me and said I’m smelling good but personally it murdered my nose so I sold it to my friend because he had the same expi and loved it.
Great video just getting unbiased reactions from people who are not into fragrances is just so refreshing. Like I hear so much about Club de Nuit being great but then most stories about getting compliments for its just from other guys and now its getting trashed by every women in this video. You really get a different view after watching a few of these videos.
I first bought CDNIM off the hype, hated it in the first 15 minutes, then I go nose blind to it for the rest of the day. But believe me when I say this is my most complimented fragrance. Women constantly asking what it is so that they can purchase it for their bf/husband tho haha
@@GiacomoMiola My wife always compliments CDIM when I wear it. It’s a fragrance that has to be on your skin for about twenty minutes and then it really gets going.
Because one uses better ingredients than the other. It's an earlier release formulation from Armaf. Even they make better clones of Aventus now that are less harsh like Bucephalous and CDNIM EDP. The EDT version is chemical trash that takes an hour or more to smell half way decent, whereas Explorer smells like Aventus from the first spray.
The reactions to club de nuit intense man crack me up, I’ve never gotten a bad reaction from that scent, only ever been told I smell absolutely delicious 😆

I like Nautica Blue, it's a nice fresh fragrance that retains it's masculine appeal and it's not too strong. If you're a nice gentleman you should wear a scent that isn't too loud.

Nauticas are all the literal definition of the shit that preppy boy with the seashell and hemp rope necklace wears, that's why they all love it. It's because it is literally what that Hollister later to be frat bro is going to wear. No legitimately bougie grown ass man, let alone a gentleman, is going to spray Nautica on past the age of like 25 unless he absolutey does not give a shit, or he's enough of a drink he spent all his money on beer and is trying to hide the alcohol smell (I again wonder about these women and their exes), or because he's literally working in a restaurant kitchen alongside sweaty men and does not give af about anything other than just barely concealing his impending sense of swamp ass. It's like, basically just one single step above being into Axe and Old Spice still as a grown man, I think you should either be using Stetson or Drakkar Noir or something old many classic at that point, or getting a real fragrance that's cheap like Creamo Spice and Black Vanilla, or a clone of a real thing like Dossier or Lattafa, or at least if you're buying in Walmart and you're out of grad school you need to be picking up Mankind by Kenneth Cole or something. It's not hard to smell decent. Idk Nautica just smells a combination of cheap and poor to me. I feel like I've had a taste of bougie to bydlo, and people who make real money as upwardly mobile yuppies are using Ellis Brooklyn or Initio or Tom Ford or something like that. It's just crazy to me, I thought these were mid to late 20s women? Are all of them like 21 years old and still remembering their jock HS boyfriend or something? OP is right about not death choking everyone with your scent though, there is that. You're supposed to be discovered not announce yourself.
I got many compliments with CDNIM, the funny thing is, I got it only from men and ladies over the age of 40. Young women don’t like it that much here in Europe.
I’m glad to see that someone finally decided to put Nautica Blue in a review instead of Voyage. I actually feel that Nautica Blue is a bit better. Idk why more ppl don’t talk about it especially for the Spring/Summertime. One of the best fresh Cheapies!
I just discovered your channel, I really like as a fragrance collector you give the best reviews as you use a panel of test people. This is the true test as it is more than one person’s opinion. You are becoming my go to for fragrance reviews. There is a lot out there, I like your style and what you are doing and it helps with choices when blind buying. What I have seen on your reviews is that most have different opinions in most cases when there is more than 2 choices consistency is much lower. This style of review is really helpful to us collectors. I agree on skin chemistry short story, I was wearing a Cologne and a coworker said I smell amazing and asked what I was wearing, So she could get it for her husband, a few weeks later she told me it was totally different on him, and she did not like it as much as it smelled on me.
Honestly the girl in black top has no sense of smell. Her description of notes doesn't make any sense at all. You guys should think about replacing her.

Milestone smells like paint off the bat lol, and as for Sillage, it smells like something an old lady would wear, Sillage is just awful but Milestone is pleasant once it dry's down

The ones that gets "love" seems to be the one that contain more synthetic compounds so what does that tell us... Not all high end designer and niche perfume are equally liked as hyped. Scents have memory associations and if you are after compliments, save the bucks in your wallet, it's better to be clean and fresh with a EDT or aftershave you can reapply liberally as ladies always seems like a guy to be like that. But hey that my theory 🤷♂️😃
True..i hv bout a dozen of perfumes in my rotation right now, & Nautica Voyage is the least expensive between them, but my wife love it when I'm wearing voyage.. that's her favorite ...and yet they said nautica voyage smells ordinary & synthetic, but woman dig it🤷
I've thought this for a long time. Anything that's "challenging" or takes time to get used to, means actually stinks and is offensive to a good percentage of the population, all the time, and that included you before you got over that hump. mass appeal is a good characteristic but they make it out to be a con I have another observation. The more something cost them, the more okay it is to be "basic" and singular. If it's cheap, it's criticized for not complex enough or too simple in the note breakdown. If it cost $400 and smells only like grapefruit rinds and nothing else, it's fantastic because it brings up images of grapefruit. When it's low dollar, it's citrus adhesive remover.
Good video nice to see the tasteless group back sniffing again 🤣 I reckon you could give them a selection of different deodorants on test strips tell them they are men's fragrances in the same format as this or a similar one and they would go into equal detail about the scents as they have here and not know weren't designer or niche fragrances they'd probably get very animated describing a deodorant lol
Guys don't worry for CDNIM. On paper the harsh opening is enhanced, plus they let it dry down only for 1 hour. When it dries on skin, is pure gold. The only fragrances that got me compliments.

It's not the best Aventus Clone. There are so many better ones...Pinapple Vintage makes a ton of better ones with different variations, Al Haramain, Afnan...the list goes on. It's just CDNIM is hyped. People reach for what the know not what's the best. Read reviews. Lots of people buy this garbage because it's hyped only to diss it, give it away or sell it because they hate it. It's trash. Even Aventus is considered an ok Frag. CDNIM...trash...it stinks for one hour before it becomes acceptable. There are better clones of Aventus that smell good from the first spray.
Just because CDNIM is the biggest selling Aventus Clone doesn't mean it's the best. It means that people have bought into the hype rather than checking the others. I'd personally put Explorer head & shoulders above CDNIM, every time. Sure, it costs a bit more, but the bottle's better & to me, it just smells better.
A few things I'd like to point out in case someone is considering to buy some of the following fragrances: 1. CDNIM smells wonderful. It's an amazing scent and personally it's one of 3 fragrances in my collection i'd give a genuine 10/10 for the scent. There are batch variations but I reccomend to just pull the trigger and hope to get a decent one. I got an amazing one from Summer 2021 so don't worry it's not like only the older batches are good. It really is a great compliment getter like people say it is but i HAVE TO say 95% of the compliments you'll get will be from males. I've been complimented only once on that fragrance from a girl except my girlfriend but honestly I didn't buy it to get compliments anyways. Just know before buying. 2. Nautica Blue smells great too, I love it but keep in mind that they loved it so much because they were able to actually smell it. When you wear it people can't smell it 99% of the time. I reccomend using it only in 32 degrees celsius or above or 90 degrees fahrenheit for the people in the USA. I spray it twice on each forearm, once behind the neck and twice on my shirt/t-shirt I'm wearing and even with these sprays and this climate it's detectable only in the first hour/hour and a half which a lot of people don't like, personally I don't mind since I have other longlasting fragrances. 3. How a fragrance smells on paper vs how it smells on skin are two really different things which I'm sure y'all know but it doesn't hurt to remind yourself that. Lastly I'd say that these girls try to picture the guy that would wear this fragrance and If the fragrance let's say has floral notes they might picture a more sensitive, "weaker" guy which immediately would turn them off so that decreases their liking of the fragrance automatically, but If you're THE guy even if you wear STR8 or AXE they'd still dig it and buy it for their future boyfriends to remind themselves of ur scent. Don't focus on what people think about a scent, focus on finding the scents that suit your taste. That's just my 2 cents. -Peace

That’s because they are smelling it on paper not skin and the opening is harsh, I bought it about two years ago and the first time I wore it, I got a compliment 😆
It would be better if you could ask them at the beginning what kind of smells they like, what associations they have with certain notes, do they hate certain notes, what does “clean” and “refined” smell like to you etc. to somehow qualify their opinions because a lot of their descriptions are non-descriptive and have little to do with the actual scent. E.g ‘this smells expensive’’, ‘’that smells like someone who’s trying too hard, “that smells like someone who lives in a loft downtown” lol. What does that even mean. Granted, most women are into bubble gummy / aquatic / lightly citrusy fragrances, but at least knowing what they like to begin with will give you some context regarding their opinion.
Given that being interested in fragrances is not a prerequisite for being included in these videos I don't think you would get much from fragrance-oriented questions. Most would be confused and ask "What is a note? I thought we are talking about fragrances, not music today!" This was our second shoot ever of this style of video so we appreciate the feedback as we continue to refine it.

@@nelsonmoore2999 I just picked up cremo bourbon and oak and dude it’s actually amazing. 13 bucks at TJ max so I decided to give it a shot, another fragrance that competes with anything under 100 dollars very well. Nice and masculine smell with a hint of vanilla or something
Have watched a couple of these videos now, and I enjoy them! One observation: The blond in the leather jacket is INTENSE! Like James Woods on Coke level of intensity! Not meant in a bad way or anything, but man...
Nautica Blue is a staple of my cheapie collection! I almost never wear it nowadays as I have many more higher quality fragrances to choose from, but maybe I need to wear it more often!
I'd like to see how any of them reacted to Aventus and compare their reaction to CDNIM. I bought a CDNIM a few years ago (just out of curiosity because it was so cheap), and it's identical to any Aventus I've smelled. I never understood the Aventus mass appeal anyway, but I'll have to sift their previous videos to see (unless someone has already looked!).
Personally, I wouldn’t say it’s identical but it’s very very very close. Having smelled both, I’d say aventus is smoother than cdnim. The pineapple note is also more prominent in aventus but that’s very minuscule. I wanna see them react to aventus as well and see what they have to say.

Is there any study to see if there’s a difference between smelling a fragrance from a strip of paper vs from a hand or arm, etc? I have tried the strip at Sephora and don’t think it’s accurately depicts the true fragrance.. I know it’s different on each but I’d rather get it from a person
To me, spraying on strip is not that accurate, I can always smell the woodyness from the paper blended in the secent and the body temperture helps it to project better, however it lasts for weeks on paper, I guess it gives you longer time to decide if you wanna buy it. Also, everyone's skin chemistry is different, so it is just better to try on your own skin.
Love these! Tressa is a vibe, her reactions get me every time. F by Ferragamo reminds me of a poor poor poor man’s La Nuit. One affordable one that I don’t think gets enough love is Aqva by Bvlgari. Think it’s like 30$ and it’s up there as a fave of mine and I have quite a few niche and designer.
Omg i cany believe they went crazy for nautic blue. That one of my least favorite nauticas. Its ok just gives me a headache. Tuff on my nasal passages. I may pick it up again just of this video

I love white floral and wear it for me. Calvin Klein One is my budget go to but I have recently replaced it with Phleur Hanami. Cavin Klein One Platinum and Calvin Klein all are honorable mentions woth the same DNA.
Given it’s a budget baller about the same price maybe even cheaper than those. Best fragrance of all time IMO is Dior Sauvage Elixir but 165 for 2 oz is pricy I see why people shy away. It’s wellllll worth the money though.
If I may make a suggestion I mean it's great that their bling smelling this and everything but how about after they're done rating all the fragrances if you guys could just let them know what fragrances they were smelling like near the very end of the video I really want to see their reactions to what they just smelled but other than that great video
I actually have #4 and #7. Used to like them but now only use them if I am getting out of the shower coming from the gym. I agree with both the pos and neg reactions on both. Because at some point and time I have felt the same at least twice.
