I have now over 70 fragrances in my collection, from dirt-cheap to unreasonably expensive ones, not a single one has pulled as much positive attention as The One EDP. None! I don't know what sorcery they've pulled with that one, but it's easily the most complimented fragrance I've seen.

However, if you go for 6-10 sprays it’s definitely enough for a couple hours. What I like about The One is how intimate it is. When you go to a party you don’t announce your fragrance but people discover it when you’re talking to them. Unless you want a clubbing fragrance, I’d say go for it! By far the best smelling fragrance I’ve owned so far.😃

I only have two of these (D&G The One EDP and Jazz Club) and my God, do I love Jazz Club. Jazz Club is probably my favorite fragrance at the moment along with Mancera Red Tobacco. Edit: With Jazz Club, it's more of a sensual fragrance for a guy to wear when his girl is a bit closer. It's more of a Netflix and chill fragrance.

@@Dzaen2 I got jazz club and I usually spray it when I wear knitwear or when I’m wearing a leather jacket. It’s a bit soft, the type of fragrance you wear when you’re upclose with a girl and it’s very alluring. As far as Macera Red goes I’ve heard it’s straight up monster 16 hrs lasting power, that first 15 mins are terrible but that the dry down is where it’s at. It’s usually described as really sweet pipe tobbaco

@@leonardoglavan2975 That's a very good way of putting it. Yeah, Red Tobacco lasts EXTREMELY long on you. I think they claim that it lasts up to 16 hours, but no joke I can smell traces of it on my clothes even several days after. I can smell it on my skin as long as 24 hours after initially spraying it. I don't know if disliking the initial spray down for the first 15 mins was a thing, but in my opinion it still smells amazing. Yes, it does smell a little sweet too.

@@Dzaen2 Honestly, I don't think it is. Both are very sensual, sexy fragrances. With Red Tobacco, it lasts over 16 hours and it projects quite a bit. Even though it does this, it's not overpowering or irritating. That being said, I would do maybe 3 sprays for this one and you're good. I've gotten over 1 dozen compliments with this thing easily. It's very smoky, somewhat woody, a little spicy, and even a little sweet. But it works. Jazz Club differs slightly since it's more geared towards being up close with her. It doesn't project as much as Red Tobacco does, though it still projects somewhat well. It smells very smoky and boozy, and a little bit woody. If I recall the boozy note is Kognac. Both smell fairly different, but both can accomplish the same thing. Red Tobacco can work as an up close and personal scent too, but if you use it for that, it might be a good idea to reduce the number of sprays you normally do a bit. I get a lot of compliments for Jazz Club too, but Red Tobacco lands me even more. I think it's because it's slightly sweet and a little more unisex in that regard. I would just get samples of both like I did, to see what you like best and what works best for your skin. Good luck man. 👍

Just like some wines are infinitely better when paired with food (bringing out notes that would never emerge on their own) some fragrances are much MUCH better on skin. I don't know why. However, Jazz Club is definitely one that I just couldn't find depth with on test strip. Spent some time with a 5ml sample however, and found it to have so many dimensions.

I personally like the smell of the original spicebomb. It is a nice scent, less sweet than extreme, it lasts a reasonable time, it is cheaper than extreme and I think by varying the amount of sprays it is versatile, can be worn in many different situations. Others may get a few more compliments but that is not everything.

I've got both "jazz club" and "the one". Jazz club wins for compliments. All four of these are top, top drawer. I think sweet fragrances tend to work better on skin than on paper. 'One million' is another example.

Today I'm happy to see my favorite perfume and personal signature win over Spicebomb Extreme , I have always mentioned that it's the best scent that has been found in a bottle , and currently i don't own a full bottle of any perfume other than Dolce & Gabbana The One. If the performance of this perfume was strong enough to keep its longevity or more than 8 hours, it would have been the leader of all perfume sales in history .

Jazz Club is a niche fragrance intended to "take you somewhere" and isn't intended to be generally sexy or "everyday" scent. I think the crowd that fragrance is aimed at is fragrance enthusiasts who are in it for the art of fragrance for personal enjoyment, not to impress others.

Coming from a liker/lover of dunhill even though they are not the best fragrance house out there, I blind-bought D&G The One EDT & EDP because the notes are similar to dunhill. My first initial reactions were just ok, proper smells compared to most dunhill's. Um, I thought the projection and longevity of D&G is poor but now hearing you say spray between 10-15 and 15-30 - I didn't know you can spray perfumes this much! This could be a complete game-changer for me! After seeing the hype I am now convincing myself that D&G The One is better than I first thought, more sprays here I come! Great video!

I’ve been wearing D&G The One EDT and EDP for a long while…And what’s so funny is how experts says it doesn’t perform well, but they don’t telll you to moisturize before applying. Moisturized skin makes it last. 😏 I get compliments and asked what it is that I have on all the time when wearing that cologne. It’s my signature scent…The One EDP. 💯

Jazz Club will NEVER work on a tester strip, ever!... The reactions from the girls are not really a surprise to me :D You have to find the right combo to get it working for yourself. I personally spray a lot on both skin and clothes, combine it with a tiny bit of Molecule 02 on my skin and then I let it "fart off" before going out, it's the same routine when I wear something like Mancera's Red Tobacco. Those are best in cold weather and maybe in spaces with a lot going on in the air etc. :)

I always try to guess how these will end before you start and this was an unusual outcome for me. I thought The One and Jazz Club would the highest out of the four. Turns out I was only half-right but the reason I predicted this was because in my experience, many women don't like spicy fragrances up close especially on paper. So, I figured The One and Jazz Club would do very well together with that rationale in mind. The lesson of this: where you're going, when you're going, and who/if you're going with (someone) should play a significant factor in what you're spraying and how much given different fragrance characteristics. Edit: Anyone who gets shitty performance from Maison Margiela fragrances, just buy Alexandria Fragrances versions. Saves money and it won't turn into a skin scent in one hour.

Nice video Curly, glad to see this video today, I also got to test the smell of Spice Bomb Extreme and D&G The One today in the perfume shop near me since I'm looking for a date night or party fragrance to buy next. I recently bought my first bottle of Versace Dylan Blue, I really love it and got compliments with it. So far I did find that The One was indeed fresh, spicy and a little sweet. Spice Bomb on the other hand was warm, spicy and a lot sweeter compared to The One, so I find their descriptions accurate. Glad to see their reactions, helps me to know what to buy next.

I have always gotten many compliments from Mugler's Pure Havane The one for me really lacks in longevity , it turns to a skin scent way to fast with my chemistry , Havane has great longevity and sillage , when I leave the room people still smell me . I don't have Jazz club yet but I do have and love By the fire place but many women aren't to hip on many Niche fragrances that i have found , I suspect they like the designer frags that they are accustomed to smelling at the department store .

In my experience tobacco-dominant fragrances really don't come off well on paper, which is probably why no one liked Jazz Club. I find the same thing with Red Tobacco, it smells awful on paper and thinner clothes but is AMAZING on my skin and thicker wool sweaters.

The main issue with The One is the projection - it really doesn't seem to go anywhere unless you spray about half the bottle on you and the person smelling it is literally right in your face. I own the EDP and EDT. So yes, while it might smell incredible, the practicality of it isn't there. It won't stand out among other fragrances e.g. if you are going out to an event or party with lots of people, and it certainly won't stand out or project in any sort of outdoor environment. To actually receive compliments on a fragrance people seem to forget that someone else actually needs to smell it first!

Michella, everybody has an opinion on fragrances and I have to say that I have never been a fan of D&G The One. l, however, own and love Jazz Club, Pure Havane & Spicebomb Extreme. All 3 fragrances are far superior to D&G The One.

I do get a decent performance out D&G The One with 8 sprays, sometimes push it to 10 and get decent 5 to 7 hours (where I live is very high heated all year round so that time span is acceptable)

Really! I bought Dolce and Gabana The One EDP and I didn't like it on my skin. I sold it to one of my coworkers. In stead I bought it The One Intense and I liked it better. To me it smells like a bunch of cooking spices. I like Jazz Club for a be honest. But I enjoyed the video. You looks amazing. 😍

So an interesting take that I have discovered with Spice Bomb Extreme. When I tried it on a testing strip I literally didn't smell anything on it until about 20 minutes in. The opening was dead on arrival on a testing strip. When I tried it on my skin and the beast fragrance wakes up like you poked the bear. It smells great. I think if the women smelled in on skin they may have different opinions on it. With that said, I have also tried The One EDP. The scent is great the projection sucks. If you need something more versatile that you can wear in more occasions; The One all the way. I however already own Narisco Rodriguez Bleu Nior that has a great scent profile of it's own and is just as versatile if not more. I don't have a tobacco scent in my collection and I also need one that is a beast so I will be sticking with Spice Bomb Extreme.

Spicebomb Extreme with a leather jacket on a cold day/night with some light rain outside is the best combination. Yes that was the exact scenario I wore it and got noticed and complimented for the fragrance and had a very very very interesting evening that night if you know what I mean 😉
