yeah scooters are fun, till they spontaneously swivel around and knock your ankle so hard everything around you crumbles away into meaningless dust and suddenly all you know, and all you have ever known is the searing pain in your ankle.. then you're crying, your grandma is crying and the postman down the street is crying because any scooter riding lad eventually falls victim to the infamous scooter-ankle-thwap. but yeah nah scooters are p fun.

It's story time... In November, I was scootering down the street in the rain when all of a sudden I realized that I was picking up speed and the foot brake wasn't slowing me down at all. My only options were a) pray for the road to become flat again and ride it out, b) let Jesus take the wheel and close my eyes, or c) aim for a patch of grass and hope for the best. I went with option c. I crashed (without a helmet) and was miraculously uninjured other than scrapes and bruises. The next morning, however, I woke up in agony because my abdomen felt like someone was turning it inside out while stomping on my intestines. After hours of vomiting and pain I went to the hospital and the doctors found two massive cysts on my ovaries that had twisted during my fall the previous day. After an emergency surgery to remove the cysts, the doctors reassured me that I was very lucky that the scooter fall dislodged the cysts because they could have kept growing and eventually caused me to lose my ovaries. Talk about a ladylike scooter story...

When you lean forward on the scooter and the back end swings around and smacks you in the ankle ... I really don't miss that pain AT ALL

razor scooter or what we call trottinette are still pretty much used in Paris, they are great and easy to maneuver and a good exercise

Hey Freddie, just thinking that you could have gotten a small plastic bag for the drink, that's what lots of motor/moped drivers do in Bangkok,Thailand. The drink stays upright and hands-free since you can loop the plastic handles into your wrist or handlebars. Check it out if you havent seen it. 😊
