As great a sprinter as Shelly Ann is, she's never ran that perfect race, from start to finish. At times she's been perfect with her start. And other times she has been perfect in terms of her top end speed (when her start isn't perfect). But it's never been a combination of both, in my opinion. But, hey, despite that she been consistently winning, anyways.

Very true!! Shelly is not only a unqiue athlete but a great ambassador for her country and globally for sprinting! So down to earth, always has a genuine smile on her regardless of the result. The field was stacked. Look at the PBs and SBs almost all 10.80s. Shelley-Ann is my absolute favourite (along with Allyson Felix)!!

I remember watching this live and thinking that seemed quicker than 10.71 which is the official time given. Watching this I remain convinced as the clock seems to stop a good 2-3 metres after she crossed the line.

because the on-screen clock you see is only a guide. It happens all the time. The official timing piece takes into account reaction time among other things
