The highly enthusiastic crowd at Hayward Field was presented with the High-Energy Thrill of the Women’s 1500 meters. The event was scheduled to get underway at 14:12 (local time). The temperature range that day was between 13°C - 26°C (55°F - 78°F). The City of Eugene is located at an altitude of 131 meters (430 feet) above sea level.
The event featured a strong field of fourteen runners including the Pace Maker (Chanelle Price, USA), nine of them Tokyo Olympians:
Olympic Semifinalists: Winny Chebet (Kenya), Gaia Sabbatini (Italy), Edinah Jebitok (Kenya).
Olympic Finalists: former Florida State University Seminole Linden Hall (Australia), former University of Oregon Duck Jessica Hull (Australia), Gabriela Debues-Stafford (Canada), Winnie Nanyondo (Uganda), the Olympic Silver Medalist Laura Muir (Great Britain), the Olympic Champion Faith Kypyegon (Kenya).
The remaining competitors did not participate in the Tokyo Summer Olympics, but, their Current World Ranking in the Women’s 1500m is the following:

The Pace Maker Chanelle Price is a former World Indoor Champion in the Women’s 800m.
One of the Greatest Women Distance Runners of All Time, the Olympic Champion Faith Kipyegon (Kenya) caught up with the Pace Maker Price (USA) right by the 800-meter mark when Price was stepping off the track, Kipyegon then ran an infernal pace, creating a large gap with the field, all the way to the Finish Line, crossing first in a time of 3:53.23, about SIX Seconds ahead of second-place finisher Linden Hall (Australia). Kenyan Superstar Kipyegon’s winning time represented a Meet Record, and a time increase of 0.935% with respect to her Personal Best of 3:51.07 (Monaco 2021).
