Women's Harrison Butker Jerseys Sell Out 

His speech was so benign. He didn't devalue being a career-woman. He just said that motherhood and homemaking had value and was a valid option for women. I think the way people and institutions are attacking him is VERY REVEALING of our modern day society.

He was almost crying when he mentioned his wife. Why do people have a problem with this. He was thanking his wife for marrying him and having his kids.

As long he doesn't give some lame apology, he will weather this storm just fine.

I am NOT a feminist. Never have been nor will I ever be. I always wanted to get married, have a large family and stay at home and raise my children. And I did. Six boys in nine years. We had some tough economic years because my husband started his own business when the youngest was 4 years old. We buckled down and made it through. Are we millionaires? No. Do we travel to Europe every year? No. Do we drive a new car every two years. No. Have we ever lacked for anything (anything being the basics you need to be happy - a roof, food and clothing) - NO. Are currently happy and satisfied with our lives? (sons are now 28 to 36 - our oldest passed away at 27). Hell yeah! Our sons are happy and productive and get along great. Life is good.

If you’d have told a year ago that an NFL kicker would be headline news I’d have told you that you were crazy. Dude’s got an important message and the demoncrats are losing their ever loving minds.

I bought a Butker t-shirt - because the jersey was 200 bucks and I’m frugal! I don’t know anything about football 🏈 - but I’m Catholic - so I like sporting it when I walk down the street. My husband is also Catholic, but he had the jersey long before the controversy. I don’t see why everyone is so upset by a speech he gave at a Catholic university, to Catholic students. It’s pure discrimination. He’s expressing Catholic principles. For people to demonize him for this is completely inappropriate.

He’s a man of God, wonderful husband, dad, and he’s easy on the eyes. Duh, of course we have his jersey.

My daughter bought one as soon as they came out. She is very spiritual and loved his commencement speech.

We tried day care for a year. We both worked 8 years, no kids. Tried day care. Wonderful place. After a year decided my wife would stay home. Adjusted, sold a few things a car. She stayed home with both till kids till middle school. School age, she volunteered for kids classrooms. Became a sub, later full time teaching assistant. Has now been there 15 years. She is the best Mom, teacher and coach I know. Was a D1 gymnast. Graduated from Illinois. We are a close family because of this. IMO Everyone has a plan, work your plan.

Before my husband got married in 1986, he and discussed me being a stay at home. We both had stay at home moms. We had two kids and I stayed home until the youngest was in middle school. We m7st have done something rigjt, we raised two conteibuting members of society, they both finished school, never got into drugs or drinking. Never had to hire a lawyer, or had a cop knock on my door in the middle of the night. I think we did alright.

Thank you for pointing out the truth that MOST women ARE NOT feminist. I appreciate that it is not just silver-haired people, but younger men and women who are beginning to push back against the lie that career and money are the highest goal and will bring the ultimate fulfillment. I appreciate that younger folks are realizing and starting to express that family and faith trump monetary pursuits. It's time our society figures out what has real value.

I have been a fan of Harrison for a long time, going back to when he kicked in college for my beloved Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. I could not be more pleased with his stand for traditional values. Go Harrison!

My wife bought four. two for her and two male size for me. I ask why so many and she said it's her way to shows support. She isn't even football fan and I stop watching NFL years ago.

My mom was a registered nurse before my parents had kids. She made the decided to stay home and raise us when we were young. Then went to part time when we got a bit older and eventually went back to work once I turned 18 and went off to the military. She's a fuckin badass. I had the privilege of having a fantastic childhood that I still look at with fondness and I saw how lucky I was b/c of many I met in the marines who didn't get that. The idiots blasting him for saying family and motherhood is more important than working 9-5 are fucking idiotic. She raised a hell of a family, set her kids up for success and then went back to helping others. Now she's got a son and a daughter who will do quite literally anything for her as she ages. The league did not "condemn" him. They said his views are not the views of the Nfl. He gave the speech in his personal capacity. And that's all true. And there was nothing wrong with their words. And I'm sure Buttkicker would agree. It's just common sense. People blew their statement way out of context same as all the people yelling about his speech blew his comments out of context.

My great was married but she and my great uncle never had kids. She worked at a bank her whole life and when she retired someone else took over her job and that was that. On the other hand, good mothers, (and also good fathers,) are not so easily replaced.

I think blowing this up on either side of the argument is silly. At a Catholic University, I fully understand his traditionalist views. Do I want to tell women in my life that they must follow that lifestyle when they may not want to? No. Do I respect anyone that wants to have that traditional lifestyle? Yes. Live your life how you want it, and don't let anyone tell you how you should live it. If you're not hurting anyone else and you want to be a career woman and never even think of having a family? Go for it. If you want to have 10 kids and be a stay at home mom. Go for that. Just try to make the decision that makes you happiest.

What I find most interesting about Butker's speech is the buzz it has created on all sides of the issues. At a time when culture is being cancelled, western religion is under attack. Yet, this one speech has made a great impact. The sales of the shirts speak volumes. God works in mysterious ways and has plans for each one of us. Butker was the spokesperson. The women buying the shirts, who live quiet lives, feel represented in this speech. The feminsts are loud and make the news. The more traditional women are busy working at home or in their jobs outside of the home and there is very little push back to the "noise." DJT will fill up both venues and have people waiting outside. These two stories go hand in hand. The more conservative values exist big time in America. These values were traditional and at one time may not have been seen as conservative. The left keeps pushing agendas that make the values conservative. It reminds me of President Reagan saying he didn't leave the Democrat Party, the party left him.

I wish people knew that the word vocation =/= career in the Catholic Church. Vocation is the primary way to serve others (mother, father, priest, religious brother or sister, etc), and a career is the work you do to make money. If he said a woman's primary job is to be a mother, people could be angry, but he said the majority's vocation is to be a mother, which is just a fact most women become mothers.
