At my school in the bathrooms there’s a little basket that has some pads and liners in it. In the nurse’s office there is a drawer which has lots of tampons, extra pads, spare underwear, travel sweets and some cramp tablets. The school nurse is so nice and she’s always so open and friendly about having your period. To this day my period is made much easier because of the facilities we have at school. Super thankful! x

when i got my first period, i was scared. i didnt realised it was period blood until a few days later. i was supposed to go to a week long camp and i saw blood in the bathroom before leaving. i thought i hurt myself at the vaginal area and was scared to tell my parents about it. so i just waited it out, hoping for the bleeding to stop. and then at camp, another girl saw my panties being all bloodied and taught me how to use a pad. i dont even remember her name but i am forever grateful for her.

On my second period, it happened again and my dad was giving me clothes to change into after a shower. My period horror story: I went to school that day wearing a white skirt looking all cute and stuff and i suddenly sneezed, i felt something.. *COMING OUT OF MY BODY* so i went to the bathroom real quick (no one saw what was behind me, thank god) i sat down and saw just red and there were some uhm.. Things coming out like, pieces of meat. And i did scream in the girls bathroom BUT thankfully there was a female teacher in there so she asked if i was ok and i just said "BLOOD! HELP! BLOOD IS COMING OUT OF ME!!" and of course a teacher (much smarter than me) said "oh your on your period, hold on, let me get you some pads." so yeah, almost had a stroke that day😂 Ps, white skirt survived, still have it with me😂 Edit: white skirt has 2 layers, the lining and the outer part, the lining still has stains but the outside is alright, had to wash it a lot of times and even soaking it in bleach. All is well😄

My first period was in the middle of eighth grade. I knew that I was going to get my period soon so literally the night before, I put a pad into my backpack, just Incase. So I was on my way to English class and like usual, I went to the bathroom, just so that I wouldn’t have to go during class. I looked down (I didn’t have my backpack with me) and I saw brown. I honestly thought that I was dying. I decided to not do anything and just go back to class. I got to class and I sat down and made my friend get everything for me because I was worried that if I stood up at all, I would internally explode. No joke. So that day I had an after school activity and we passed a bathroom on the way there (the activity was in school) and so I told my friend that I was going to the bathroom and she should just go without me. She stayed. I went into the bathroom and for a second, I still thought that I was dying until I saw red. Then it hit me. I had just gotten my period. I was kinda shaking and didn’t know what to do. I took the pad out of my backpack and put it on, it was SO uncomfortable. I cleaned everything up and walked out of the bathroom, walking like a penguin. I finally got home and texted my mom “mom I think I just got my period”. I was freaking out and I didn’t know what to do. The good thing is that I didn’t internally explode. My problem isn't my first period, its all the other ones. My body doesn't care that its been 4 years, it hates me, so I can't wear anything but black when I'm on my period, its tough.

My first period story is vEry ironic. I was talking to my friend and she was on her period, she was telling me about her cramps and I was making fun of her. Little did I know I had blood all over my underwear and I was complaining about my cramps. Guess what my friend did. She laughed at me;-; karma much.

I was almost 15! 🤣 (Literally like, 2 months before I turned 15 lol) I'm 16, only had it for a year, and my one friend told me she got hers in 5th grade, and she asked when I got mine and I'm just like "🤭😆😅😂" and she's like, what? My period story: I went to school (I was in 5th grade), I was feeling super meh and hungry and craving things. During science, I had my head on the table and my teacher came up to me and said "why is your head on the table?" I sat up and was like "no I'm not". She felt my forehead and said go to the nurses office. I went there she took my temperature and I was fine, I came back and my entire class sanitized all my stuff (this was in the beginning of covid). I was the person who calls bus names on the announcements, but usually I go to the bathroom before any of them were there. surely enough there was a huge stain in my underwear, and the tiniest stain on my light gray pants. I went out crying because I didn't know what to do. And I couldn't call the buses that day because I was crying. The buses just kept coming and my art teacher who was supervising had to call them and It took like 15 minutes until I could tell her, and I quote "I GOT MY PERIOD AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!" The look on her face was priceless, she said " okay go to the nurse". AND IT WAS"T EVEN THE REGULAR NURSE! She said put toilet paper in your underwear. I went home crying and sat in my room for an hour until my mom came home

Jackie’s story sounds like sumn that would happen to me. Like I would think I’m dying and I would act like how she did🤣🤣🤣🤣

My girlfriend started hers at 10. She never had a single cramp until two years later, and every month she would throw up from the pain. The most recent time she was laying on the ground with a fan on the highest setting when I got home from work, and I didn't know what was going on, so I started panicking. She told me it was that time of the month, and it had been clearly visible that she had been crying from the pain. The only way she can escape it is to lay in bed with two blankets, a fan on high speed, and a heat pack, and while listening to music. As her boyfriend, and as a guy as well, this proved how strong women are and just how much they have to go through. It really pains me to see her in such pain, knowing all I can do is slightly relieve it for her. This why it's so infuriating to see why women don't get paid as much or are being treated equally by other men, who put them down. Kudos to all you girls!
