i honestly think that lil ricy is the best keyboard unboxer on youtube. Also, you give the best tips and guides to us viewers and cant wait for you to do more unboxings :)
After I've seen this video a month ago I wanted to buy one but got stuck on deciding whether or not to get it because there were so many options available at the local stores. Redragon, Corsair, HyperX, Logitech, all of the common stuff you'd see here and there and either it was too expensive or too cheap built with cheap materials. So I decided to buy the Womier K87 after some deliberation and it struck everything I wanted with a keyboard so well. The RGB is fantastic and the gateron yellows feel good (space bar is a bit iffy). Once I put pudding keycaps here its all over.
I ordered this a few days ago (before watching), also with gateron blacks, I'm excited! New to the mech world, I learned that I'm not the biggest of mx silent reds.. way too soft even though sound was my main concern initially... this board is going to be my introduction to customizing, lubing, etc. can't wait
it's a great starter board to try out new switches and what not. I love these gateron blacks. I'm really considering taking them off and putting them on another board. They're very smooth and i love the weight to them.
How did you like the gateron blacks? I've been using browns for 2 years now and I really like them but wanted a white keyboard so ended up with red switches. They are WAYYYY soo sensitive and I don't like it. Looking for reviews of this keyboard.
Thank you Sooooo much dude, I’m starting to get all of my pieces for my set up and I have all of my other items and this is exactly what I need! Awsome job dude
12:52 holy molu the waveis moving insane keyabord buying over the royal kludge rk 84 just becoz of the yellow switches i reallly like them very much will be an upgrade frm the 10$ logitech membrane keyboard
I just got this keyboard today and I already have the pbt keycaps for it because it was an option. Its a very nice keyboard right off the bat! The spacebar sounds really nice when you type on it. Also thanks for the explanation about the switch puller and the keycap puller. I was about to search it up on the internet. Tysm
You're welcome and I hope you enjoy it. I think the stabs are the weakest link personally and if you can add a bit of lubricant or dielectric grease, it will sound much better!
Grats on 20k! You deserve it. Your videos are not just unboxing videos, they're art. You go in depth and explain everything; pros and cons. Remember me when you get 100k. (Tbh I probably used the semi colon wrong)
Appreciate it man!! I'm talking to a buddy of mine and we're discussing bringing him on board to help out with the channel. I'm all in with this and hope to do it full-time soon!! haha a colon i think would've been better but i totally get what you're saying. Lol
@@xshrxkx Very cool!! I have my affiliate links in that video and also a coupon code (LILRICEMUNCHER) for 10% off Redragon's entire website. Not sure what's easiest and cheapest for you. It looks like Amazon also has $5 off at the moment.
I had one for a year and then I spilled water on it. I have been looking for something better but can truly NOT find anything....So i will be buying it again.
Thank you for this video. I'm debating between a couple keyboards and you pointed out some things about this keyboard that other videos didn't like the rattley space bar and the squeakyness👍
They go on sale a lot but for full retail it's about $80 and a few dollars for shipping. I would definitely wait for a sale (should be coming up soon since Christmas is around the corner). And also don't forget to use my links if you would like to support the channel for free with your purchase! :)
I really like this video and if you can you should review the CIY X77 Hot-Swappable Mechanical Keyboard/RGB Gaming Keyboard/USB C/Anti Ghosting/N-Key Rollover/Compact Layout 87 Key/Detachable Magnetic Upper Cover/Wired Keyboard for Mac Windows I did copy and paste the name exactly from Amazon and at the time of writing this comment it is $50 and at least the way it looks it looks great. I personally think you should look at this because I'm planning on getting in and I want to know if I should or shouldn't but if you can't it's no big deal, love the videos keep up the good work
I just got this keyboard yesterday, took me 6 hours to mod and lube everything. It's such a huge upgrade over my velocifire keyboard and it is nut worthy!
Wow what a coincidence!! I would enjoy it a lot more with betters stabs. I love these gateron blacks though. Tbh, i may take them off this board and put it on something else.
@@lilricemuncher09 I wasnt actually expecting the black switches to be so good when I bought them instead of browns because they were out of stock. No regrets at all 😗
@@_FrozenPotato_ dude i'm not just saying this but when i started pc gaming, i actually started on browns and now i've ended up on the opposite side with the blacks. I love blacks. Heavy linears are amazing. As far as the common switch types, that's my favorite CLEARLY by a long shot for productivity. I'm still torn a bit on my gaming switch preference though.
@@darkdixie4174 Nice! My affiliate links are in the description below if you would like to support the channel with your purchase. Please let me know if you have any questions!
there is any difference between the stock keycaps and the hyperx keycaps in terms of comfort and feeling or the only thing that change is that makes the keyboard more beautiful?
I have this board with Gat Yellows. Only thing that I've noticed is that the switches are eaaaaasy to pull out. Def a negative for me. Like with the entire keycap on and all. Don't like that. Wish they were only removable with force from a switch puller. I'm hesitant to take off the keycaps because I don't wanna have to redo the whole board switch by switch... and don't wanna put new switches in it because the Gateron Yellows are absolutely butter. Stock typing and not modifying it, this is one of the best boards for a gaming/typing combo experience I've ever had, though. Honestly, it's a quality board. Didn't have your creak issue, only when I try to flex the board at angles while holding it in my grasp with both hands, which I don't see myself doing unless I'm actually raging.
That's interesting. In the video, i did remove one switch and it was very easy to pull out with the switch puller and noted how easy it was. I also removed every single keycap but didn't experience any switches coming out. Thanks for sharing your experience! I would be concerned too! i'm glad you like your yellows. no lie i really do like the gateron blacks. I'm honestly thinking about taking out those switches and putting them on another board. Haha we'll see. it's interesting you didn't have the creak issue but i'm assuming you didn't change out the stock keycaps. The creak was grossly apparent when putting on a new set. I didn't like it at all but this isn't going to be obvious unless you're being extremely rough with the keyboard or replacing a keycap set though so I don't think it's a problem during regular use at all.
So would it be impossible to put the pudding keycaps on the Womier k66? I really want to go for the 65% layout. I'm also considering the ducky one 2 sf, but I'm not sure if it would have a similar lighting effect even with the pudding key caps :/
GSkill actually sent me out both colors and I need to make a video on it soon. I might try to incorporate them on this keyboard in that video when it comes out. :)
It's just so weird a keyboard which is basically made for the RGB has no control software for custom colors and patterns. I have a color scheme for my lighting and it would be great but unfortunately not possible.
Ur keyboard reviews are really good can u review the Royal Kludge RK71 mechanical gaming keyboard it's in bangood I hope it's a pretty awesome keyboard Good luck 😃😃💗
I have been looking for a gaming keyboard and your video definitely convinced me to buy this keyboard your videos are definitely underrated a definite, like , share and subscribe
Hello I was so confused in your description which one was the correct link for the keyboard with the pudding key caps?. Can you let me know which link it was?. And if there's an updated version of this keyboard with the pudding key caps. Thank you.
