Alex Davenport i swear I literally had goosebumbs when Wonder Woman made her enterance in Batman v Superman with the Is She With You song by Hans Zimmer
I mean it's got guitar effects on it too. 2 cellos do some great work with electric cellos, even one with a famous rock guitarist who's name eludes me right at the moment
When I first heard this in Batman versus superman i had full body goosebumps and I was gripping my seat; I had never heard anything like that before ever and the fact it boomed through the theatre during Wonder Woman’s first debut was just mind blowing and a justice to strong badass women everywhere. Absolute genius….. And the fact you can make an electric cello sound like the hardest most badass electric guitar is absolutely stellar! What a queen.
I always thought the music sounded like a scream. Like someone is screaming as they sprint into battle. A war cry. And, I also wondered why it sounded so distinctly feminine. I am wondering no longer.
pavan kumar I gave you a thumbs down because your cat didn't turn into a tiger. Your cat turned into battle cat. That said, I have only the highest respect for your comment.
the music of Superman: majestic and inspiring. The music of Batman: dark, moody, and enigmatic The Music of Wonder Woman: I AM HERE TO PUNCH EVIL IN THE FACE!!!!!!!!
Insane how this song will be part of Wonder Woman’s history for years to come. Absolutely unforgettable. Thank you Tina Guo for sharing your talent to the world.
Donna Aquino She sure is amazing... However, Gal Gadot still is an amazing fit for the role, due to her physicality, since she underwent vigorous training for 6 months. Still, it would be a pleasure to see Tina in a cameo the least.
This is legit the most aggressive and badass of the superhero themes it sounds like she is actively kicking ass during the deep cello and drum beating parts.
I kept thinking "that's NOT a guitar. It's electric sounding but this is definitely not a guitar! What can it be?" All the while forgetting that electric cellos exist. After my second viewing, I came back home, and in two clicks, found the answer to the question I kept asking myself ever since the first notes of the movie. And then I facepalmed, hard. :p
dude double bass is underrated, cello is just fine. What i think is that people usually see the cello as a fancy instrument that should only be played in elegant occasions, but this video portrays it as a sort of brave and violent instrument, which is nice to see because it shows that instruments also have stereotypes and stereotypes aren't always true.
low-key it makes me so happy that yugo kano clearly took inspiration from wonder woman's theme for jolyne's theme. just two powerful women kicking ass and looking cool while doing it :D
I had no idea who you were back when my husband took me to see Batman v Superman, and the WW theme blew me away. Then I was blown away again when I found out all that amazingness was one woman?! Your boldness, skill and talent are an inspiration. Not just to myself, but women everywhere who are creators, prodigies and dreamers, looking to inspire others and to be inspired. Never stop being amazing, Tina Guo ~ Katherine
I personally think a mixture of rock and orchestral like this makes her theme even more badass. It seems even more fitting. But the original orchestral version is great as well. I like it. I just prefer the mixture of rock and orchestral.
Who else had goosebumps watching her play this live? #HansZimmerLive Tina you are an amazing musician and performer! PS: I was at the Copenhagen one. Will definitely attend any future live performances in my vicinity.
I listened to this while taking a shower. The water turned into lava. After it cooled off, I punched my way out. I am now Gal Gadot. Thanks, Tina Guo. 💞
Not a fan of wonder woman or DCEU , was just watching Batman vs Superman for timepass and when this bgm came , i felt goosebumps in whole body . Simply one of the best music creation in world . It's damn magical 😍
I'm a marvel fan, but wonder woman's theme can seriously GET IT LIKE DAMN GIRL IT'S LITERALLY DISTINGUISHABLE AND UNIQUE UNLIKE LOTS OF MARVEL THEMES??? (Edit from a year later) oh shit yall goin wild in the replies
@WhoDarestheMAN gamer marvel has better storyline and connection between movies while DC seems to actually care about the atmosphere and music, which is very important and special
My chihuahua heard this and became a chupacabra. Then he looked at me and said, “I will avenge my people.” I don’t know what he meant, but it sounds serious. *edit* thanks for the love y’all. Here’s an update, my chupacabra completed what he set out to do, retired, and is farming as a chihuahua. But he said if his people ever need him again, he’ll always be there for them.
I listened to this with my friend before watching the movie with my friends, and whenever the song came on during the movie we would silently squeal and hold hands! your talent was just THAT good!!
OMG, I was just saying today after seeing her last night perform that I never thought I'd be so jealous of a Cello in my life. Your comment completes that. LOL
There is something seriously 'other-worldly' about the intro to this, and then the main 'riff' kicks in and you realise this is the theme of a Goddess. Thank you Tina (and Hans) for breathing life into this incredible piece of music.
Hey Tina, I was on a Hans Zimmer concert a few months ago and I saw you live playing this song. IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AMAZING😍😍😍😍 THANK YOU SO MUCH❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love your music for a few years already Tina. You are incredibly talented and deserve even more appreciation for all the amazing work you did for everyone 💖💖
This seriously opened up my nerve endings to absorb pure badassness! Oh shit, I feel like I could take on a horde of evil monsters after listening to this in surround sound with the bass turned up to max levels
You could not get a better song, or video for the Wonder Woman theme. The song is very aggresive and powerful, but still beautiful. Its defently inspired from led zeppelins Immigrant Song. The song really grabs you by the throught leaving you breathless.
Cellist here, yes you can see what's going on if you look at the neck for most of the shots. Her fingering matches the notes. Along with that, she overdubbed the rhythm cellos under the solo, so that explains the accented chords that are played under the main theme hit with the same finger patterns and bowing in the audio. Even the vibrato matches the note, string, and timing of the notes during the solo cello shots.
Her passion and power matched the music and there is nothing wrong with being proud of sexuality. It's not her problem that some people feel shame when it comes to expressionism. They have issues.
What does her sexuality have to do with this though? This is about the music. She really didn't need to dress this skimpy. The music speaks very loudly for itself.
I love how every woman who's seen Wonder Woman has one thing in common: if this theme music is playing in the background, all you want to do is find the nearest douchebag and beat him up while still looking fly af.
Lol yup, sometimes, but I settle for exercising with my kettlebells 😉. The song is particularly handy for swinging deadly looking bowling balls and having fun with it.
