They said it is "leaps and bounds above the other three entries in the DCEU" yet that gave this a 7.9 and Man of Steel a 9.0. Seems legit.

as a Marvel fan, thank God Wonder Woman showed DCEU did not lose all hope. Gal Gadot is inspiring and can't wait for her sequel and JL interactions.

7.9 isn't even remotely bad! Peeps in the comment section are acting like IGN absolutely took a dump on this movie. They gave a 7.8 to Civil War and a 7.9 to GotG Vol. 2, both of which were also solid superhero movies.

Gadot is THE Wonder Woman imo. She captures the pure innocence she would have, living in a society that she had been in, but the fact she's practically already deity-like already(much like the rest of her people) it's easy to forget who she actually(As in Wonder Woman) is lmao.

Wonder Woman is another one of the countless movies where the main plot is about Germans being the enemies.

I give this movie an 8.6-8.8 It was a pretty good film, nice action, decent plot and fun. This being an origin film, was played safely and that works for this movie. Can't wait for a sequel, should be even better.

Really wish just because it has a woman as the lead role it's automatically a feminist movie. Can i not hear of a comic movie or comic book that doesn't have all that political crap showed down it.

It's really nice that a DC movie gets a relatively STRONG SCORE. This is the pace that the WB should take with the DCEU, and release movies with individual characters first. Batman V Superman should've came out waaaaay later after each character's stories. My bottom line? This is the good that happens when WB slows it down, thinks about the fans, and doesn't try to rush and chase what Marvel is doing.

If other critics agree with IGN, it means DC is getting things right. Although, I did enjoy Suicide Squad, despite its flaws. Can't speak for Man of Steel or BvS. Haven't seen them. Saw Nostalgia Critic review them, but in some cases, I don't think that counts.

Deserves 8.5. The CGI wasn't that great bc it had one of the lowest budgets. Nitpicking. Guys, if you are 'critics' ig you can give it a 7.9. But if you haven't gone to filmschool, I think you'd have a great time.

I meant to say the muggers gun went off and Clark quickly acted like a clumsy oaf, got in the path of the flying bullet then snatched it in the air as he tumbled down against the side of the building. The scared mugger fled, leaving a worried Lois to check on Clark. Great film. Can't wait to see Wonder Woman.

Rotten Tomatoes gave it an 96%. Currently it has an 8.5/10. I don't care what any of these reviews say, I'm still watching it. Just amped that everyone says it's been a really good film. 👌

I have to say that that's a very fair rating. There were some bits that I felt fell a tad bit flat or forced, the effects weren't bad but certainly not the best, they used slow mo a bit too much but still a amazing film! I love Wonder Woman (watched thrice) and this was a great installment! I think most of the negative comments is because the movie is still to hyped up to see the flaws but that happens with all movies/books.

There was only one scene (or line of dialogue) where I didn't buy Gadot's performance, the rest was flawless.

It says a lot that they couldn't give it an 8. I think they wanted to give it a high score, but it wasn't good enough.

Exactly what I thought when I saw the movie Gal gadot lack of acting skills is saved by her cast mates. Finally an honest and real review. Not that she is bad but u can see that she doesn't have a lot of range like them.

Why are people complaining about a 7.9/10? That's 2.9 points above average which is more than a summer blockbuster even tries to achieve. Summer superhero blockbusters are designed to be average/slightly above average. Why do people pretend that this movie is just trying more than to entertain and aim for the biggest possible target audience? This movie didn't try neither did it need to be a reinvention of cinema. Calm down about IGN giving this movie an excellent rating. 9/10s or 10/10 are nearly perfect movies and 7.9/10 comes incredibly close to that. It would be fair to argue that 7.9/10 is way to high for a summer superhero blockbuster, but getting triggered because the movie didn't get a 10/10 and pretending not to be triggered by it definitely isn't. I enjoyed the hell out of every second of the Room. Would I give it a 10/10 because of that? No, it's still bad. This is a similar case. It's absolutely okay to like superhero movies, but don't pretend like this film deserves the same rating as a Citizen Kane, a Godfather or an Apocalypse Now.

What liked about this movie was because World War I was an underused setting in movies, the fight scenes were good, and I thought the main villain delivered a good point. Throughout the movie Wonder Woman thought that by killing the God of War, Ares, it would automatically end the war, but Ares revealed while he gave humans ideas he never made them use these ideas for war, that was their choice. In other words, you don't a god of war to wage war, you don't need the devil to become one yourself.

7.9/10 Feminist will love it and drink male tears LUL.

Wonder Woman is sitting at a 79 on metacritic. Man of Steel, Batman Vs Superman, and Suicide Squad were all good IMO. Will be seeing this.

I feel happy since WW is like a huge film for Gal Gadot since she doesnt had much experience on acting and people were saying she was going to do a horrible WW but she ends up giving more than the actors from SS and BvS. The feminist thing is a little off topic cuz lets be real Wonder Woman was always about being this savage woman who would do anything to protect the city or her loved ones. Cant wait to see this.

Diana stopping the bullet from hitting Steve Trevor is like a wink to Christopher Reeves Clark Kent catching a flying bullet from muggers gun that was meant for Lois Lane in the alley scene, early in the film.

"DCEU stink streak" - That's a great way of putting it, seeing how the last 2 DC movies were shameful skidmarks

I could already tell by just looking at the trailer that gal did the role of wonder woman perfectly, I think this one is gonna be first anticipated dceu movie ( after what happened to BvS and suicide squad ) they both were great movies but I'm talking about critic ratings,I hope justice league will gain much more better reviews.

How exactly was the beach scene "hard to follow"? Also the 3rd act and the CGI weren't messy in the slightest.

This movie was boring. It wasn’t the most action-packed movie. The best scene was only the walking scene during the battle. I think is a bit overrated. Acquaman was better. But at least this movie was better than justice league & suicide squad. I don’t think is a masterpiece. A totally decent fine movie, nothing much

Well considering the track record that WB has been on with the DC Universe movies, this score is perfectly fine for IGN's opinion.

1) He butchered the pronunciation of her name 2) The 7.9 thing got a lot of people triggered, because apparently their lives revolve around the number IGN gives a movie 3) Jury's still out on whether Gal is a great actress or not, so I'll retain judgement on that until she does other roles 4) I've never been a big fan of superhero movies, and I'm not gonna be a fan of this one either

I am happy that you like Wonder Woman, but I still think Man of Steel is a great entry into the DCEU. Henry Cavill was a portrayal of Superman I always wanted to see and the 3rd act was incredible.

I thought Rotten Tomatoes was bad at rating things. This movie is easily a 9 or more. The way everyone in the theater applauded when she climbed up the ladder to the battlefield was something I never experienced in a theater for a Marvel/DC movie and it felt like this is what a superhero movie should represent!

This movie was great, it really was but it wasn't as good as Logan, Deadpool or The Dark Night but you can't honestly review it because no matter what you give it, feminists would accuse you of being sexist for not giving it a 10.

Why are people trying to talk about what it represents Wonder woman is a bloody DC superhero
