Thank you very much! I needed to fix one which was frozen with the lights on. Completely unresponsive. This worked. But I am irritated how nothing is ever constructed to be taken apart without prying apart plastic clips though. These clips were very strong compared to most others I have dealt with, one of those guitar pick prying tools wasn't even close to strong enough, needed to use a flathead like you did.
I was soooooo close to trying this, but decided to see if it would reset itself if it ran out of battery. Put it in the freezer for a couple of days to help kill the battery. Took it out this morning. By noon it was room temperature and I started charging it. Connected smoothly to my device. Problem solved! :)
Nice breakdown, but you’re not clear on which wire to unplug. Did you remove the one attached to the motherboard or the one plugged into the side of the speaker? Thanks.
Hi I’m from Mexico I have a Wonderboom 2 speaker that unfortunately got wet by a large water jet on my sink. Fortunately it didn’t got broken, the speaker sounds pretty well, the Bluetooth connectivity and everything is working perfectly fine, but I’m afraid something could happen later, if someday the speaker won’t turn on or the Bluetooth connection starts to fail. What should I do if for some reason my speaker gets broken? At least in Mexico, is there some places where I can get even a reparation or a replacement? Kind regards
Hi 👋 very useful video. Just to mention resting holding the two buttons only works when the speaker is turned on. One of my speakers kept not charging after a minute and resetting has solved the problem 👍🏻

My speakers audio is becoming distorted for no apparent reason, aside from that it works fine. It's relatively new and barely used, although it's been exposed to heat and cold once
As you mentionend, your's WB has been exposed to heat and cold and this may have damaged the speakers. Hence, there is no way to repair it. Try open it turn it on a bass music and see the speakers status. Good luck!
Is it possible to change the battery? My ue Wonderboom charges well but then when I play it, the speaker goes off in about 15 minutes. My guess is the battery is kaput. How can I change the battery and what kind of battery does it use? You only showed how to open and to close but no instructions on how to replace the battery.
Hello mate! I almost sure that your's WB problem is the battery. My video was to instruct how to perform the hardware reset, after the speaker remain responseless during the charge procedure. The battery replacement is not so simple. After you open your speaker, the battery is located at the bottom of it. You' ll need to remove the attachment, carefully. The battery pack you can buy at ebay or you can assemble yourself, however keep in mind to follow the Volts and Amperes of the original battery.

I tried what did you done but it's still the same. It doesn't turn off when I press the power button and also after I put back together it changed the sound quality into a low quality. What should I do now?? 😭😭😭
Hello friend. I do not understood whta you have said. You said after you unplug the battery cable and plug it back, the speaker still bugged. Are you sure that you have removed the correct wire plug? There are more. Try to remove all of them and connect back, one per turn to avoid any misconnection.
I really do not have any quick answer to you. The WB which is making noise could be different type of problem, such as, speaker cracked, bluetooth connection, amplifier, etc. I cannot help you if I do not see the source of the problem. Maybe if you post a video and send me the link will be easier. Cheers
Fix it yourself in my WB one speaker is not working. Some humming sound is coming from one speaker. What should I do? I don't have service centre in my city.
So this may be a little off subject but really wanting to start a little project on mine. Do you (or anyone reading this) by chance know the location and process on how to add an aux port after disassembling??? Really feel this speaker would have an even better sound, and for music production would eliminate lag. Thanks...

Mine keeps making like static noise then goes in and out of sound. I connected new speaker thinking blown speaker but nope same with new speaker...any suggestions

So, the reason of this bug is because of extra charging time. You cannot allow your speaker to charge more than 6 hours. Anyway, I am glad that I could help. Cheers!
My wonderboom can't boot, but it can be powered by usb and used external AUX cable. It is said that it was officially locked. Is there any solution? Thank you。
Is there any repair shop for wonderboom in mumbai (india) or can you help me to debug the problem So the problem is.. whenever bold sound comes from speaker it appears as if speaker vibrating cloth is torne off.. smooth sound comes nice but bold sound is wiered.
The thing is we don't have document related to wonderboom speaker. Bought from US the repairing centre says they won't repair unless it has warranty proof . They are not willing to repair even though I am willing to pay them for that...
This tutorial solves the WB freezing when charging. Your problem is more like a battery issue. Have you tried change the charging cable or the AC/DC adaptor?
Brian Grimshaw good tip if someone who is not skilled enough and I encourage to use it. But you do not necessarily need to use a plastic tool If you have the right skills. The battery plug is already protected with a plastic cover and there are no power contacts on the board surface. Good point! Securety always comes firts!

didnt work :( went further and unplugged all cables and plugged them in again...it randomly doesnt turn on, off, volume keys wont work, bluetooth only connects to laptop with sound and if with phone, there's no sound...so weird
I was at home and had it for 2 weeks.I came home and threw it on my bed, i know you shouldn’t do that but i thought because the bed is soft nothing would happen. After it landed it turned of and wont turn on again. I need help
Could be a lot of stuffs. Try changing the phone and see if the connection is ok. If this happens, try to format or change your smartphone. In the other hand, if not solved, the problem is related to WB and it will be necessary to check the BT chip. If you do not find anyone that can replace it, better buying another one.
@@gregsfishn to avoid overheat the charger or not fully charge the speaker. The speaker has a bug If the charger keep connected to the WB, the problem of lights could come back.
No friend, water can cause unknown type of damages. If I were you and yours WB still have some warranty left, I suggest you to call the manufacturer and ask them to repair it. Because they sell it as a water proof product.

This is the only thing that works or my unit.. Also i have to either drain all the battery or just have low battery "red light" when i turn it off. If i have good battery then the unit wont boot, then its hard reset again...... Completely useless bluteooth speaker. Sounds is good n all but shit aint working proper.
