This is probably my favourite language crossover channel. The conversations have some real depth to them! Not only does this demonstrate a real intricate detailed understanding of the language, instead of just ordering food and asking for directions, but we actually get into some interesting topics, learn more about people, and even history!

Little bit of an experiment tbh. I spend alot of time talking about history with Chinese people, its one of the things i most enjoy. Wasn't sure whether it was youtube worthy content though haha, so we shall wait and see. Qinshihuangs suspected burying of Confucian Scholars is a really interesting bit of history.

i wish I'd learnt languages while I was younger. learning is more difficult when you're older 😒😒

Actually it's easier to learn languages while older, because you got a better understanding of the world in general, and have a much broader understanding of a variety of concepts. The only real problem with learning languages when one is older, is finding the time to do so. I speak multiple languages, but I wouldn't say that I am particularly good at learning languages, because I'm an awfully lazy person. But if one can put aside 10 to 15 minutes every day to study, one can become decent at another language within a year.
