i'm glad she continues to perform my microphone! you can tell she was finding her sound with it and she does it even better live than the recording it's incredible
I was a big fan of Poppy when she released her first song, my brother made fun of me but as soon she started doing metal 'he introduced me' to her. Regardless I'm an even bigger fan now and while I never even go back to listen to her old music, I appreciate that it led to how deep her songs are now
Play destroy is deff on that lost , the song is on a album she really doesn't acknowledge tbh, and given her beef with grimes , it won't be played live anymore
@@lelandloner8634 Not to mention, at least personally, that was her worst album to me. Only song I cared for was Time Is Up, Hard Feelings, and Play Destroy. Even X I feel is kinda meh but important to her evolution.
not to mention even if there was no beef there, collab songs are notoriously hard to play as part of a live set since either they have to prerecord the other part(ergo, not really live) or have the collab artist on the whole tour (for like one song) or have it be a dual tour
Its actually depressing when an artist you really like doesn't play old songs, especially if you missed the era where your favorite songs from that artist were fresh and never got to hear them in concert.
I don't think you grasp the situation. That, or you're so self-centred you can't comprehend how somebody not wanting to relive abuse trumps your desire to hear some old tunes.
I’m sure she’ll surprise the fans with some old songs live one day. Radiohead still plays Creep occasionally, Paramore still plays misery business occasionally, Korn played Daddy, Metallica played Escape. She may say now she won’t do it, but give it some time and a real special occasion, she’ll play it live
The thing is, musically people who are going to see Poppy now are more into the metal side of her than the pop one, so they won't actually vibe to these old songs. At the same time, those who miss the pop era of Poppy won't have a good time to see Poppy live cause it's pretty much a rock / metal show and it might be "too much" for them
So a 2-second lasting part with autotune is lipsync to you? and the instruments still play live how tf would she lip-sync that? I bet your voice sounds worse than a wet dog dying. It’s easy to judge behind anonymity. So stfu
Seen her live have you? She didn't lip synch at leeds fest. She didn't lip sync with Bad Omens. Twice i've seen her and twice it's made you a bullshitter. Also, a backing track doesn't = Lip sync before you try use that argument next.
She lipsynced at the Grammy's but at her own concerts and events she sings live, I've heard her voice crack multiple times while screaming on tour when watching concert footage lmao.
I didn't care for her and haven't thought about her since the early 2010s memes until I hear V.A.N w/ Bad Omens x Poppy a few weeks ago. She has actual talent, but this weird Poppy persona holds her back.
@xokayleebaby I didn't say it stopped her, I said it holds her back. She could be much more successful if she dropped the character and fully displayed her talent. Her gimmick may have helped boost her initial popularity, but now it's holding her back.
@@fehnraal9144She is displaying her talent, you mean it's holding back her persona which it isn't since that's what she's known for and what people like. Plus this is literally just her, she's always been pretty "mysterious" compared to other celebrities in interviews and I kinda like it.
