This video is legit!!! I had a zoom meeting to learn about a nursing school and at the end they said one of the requirements to proceed are to take the wonderlic exam by the end of that same day (I had finished this meeting at 3:30pm) never heard of this exam before but I only had a couple of hours to research what this exam was and to study. I watched this video and did the practice tests on the website and I passed on the first try! 21 out of 30 correct. Thank you 🙏🏼
Yes Wonderlic SLE and the most challenging part is the short amount of time you have you have to think quickly. I didn’t spend more than 20 seconds on a question, even if I didn’t feel like I knew the answer I chose something and moved along. You have a better chance of passing when you answer all the questions even if you’re unsure. Click the link in the description and practice those questions i practiced for both the 30 and 50 questions exams to really get an idea of what to expect. Most of those same questions were in my exam i took for my school.
I am SO thankful that you (the creator) shared this information/ video. This video has definitely boosted my confidence & minimized my stress for this upcoming test. THANK YOU 🥺❤️
Thank you so much. Very useful tips. With my engineering background, I was trying to solve by traditional method and took me a lot longer. With your tips, I could solve the problem in less than a minute.
@@agerman135 i have 3 chances to take the wonderlic as an entry exam. If you dont pass it you are allowed to retake it after 60-90 days depending on score
On the 3000x800 sq ft vs 1500x160, my immediate thought was to double 1500 and halve 160 and then do what you mentioned in the previous problem. you come to 80x3000 vs 800x3000, i.e. 10%.
I'm almost 67 and I just took the wonderlic basic skills test required by the college I am trying to get in. There are 95 questions, you have 20 minutes to complete the 50 verbal questions and another 20 minutes to complete the remaining 45 Math (Quantitative) questions. In the math portion calculators are allowed. I failed both portions, but Math I failed Big Time.
I need to score a 20 just to get into radiology tech program & my first time ever taking the test I scored a 12 (only 8 points off) now i'm studying this shi*t to pass lol
I start my nursing program soon but first, I have to take this test. I haven't been in school in years so for the Numerical question; my brain was frozen in time lol.....Can someone explain that to me
I bought the course to help me prepare for the wonderlic & just based on my experience DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. it’s $78 for one week & $88 for 1 month. It doesn’t prepare you for the test at all. The wonderlic math questions are NOT multiple choice so you have to type the answer in which most of the strategies for math problems tell you to make assumptions based on your choices since you don’t have enough time to solve them. The practice tests it provides arent helpful at all since it provides 4 practice test 1 for the 30 question test & the rest are for the 50 question test. They’re the same exams over & over again without new questions being introduced. I bought this to prepare for the 30 question exam & 1 practice test for the 30 question exam is already free on the website. I’ve emailed them with no response because i didn’t pass my test since this course isn’t helpful at all. I’ve had to get a tutor to help me instead.
The problem is they are marketing it to leaders in companies who don't understand people, can relate to people and want the easy way out of talking (communicating) with people facce-to-face and attempting to hire people who know how to communicate with people. The irony is staggering.
Hello, I just found out I have to take the Wonderlic for a job opportunity. I can not figure out the rules for the cube folding test. Why do some blocks have double square marks (there is a slight separation between one square and another? Also, how does one know which square to start with? I have paid for the prep class and taken some of the practice tests but I don't understand the rules when it comes to making a cube out of somewhat connected squares. Is that explained anywhere? Thanks
I need help wondering for nursing school, did this the one or something else . As my English is my second language so I have problems to recognize similar or opposite meanings
I tried paying for the course but it would not accept any of my cards? The website also kept glitching out, are there any issues with payment processing?
A lot of these tests test material that is never, ever used on the job the applicant is applying for, or for that matter, very much in daily life at all!!!
It's like an IQ test. It's just to make sure you're competent. If you do bad on this test you either have a learning disability or have a low IQ, if you score very high you probably studied for it or have a high IQ. It's mainly used to weed out the lower ends.
I NEVER understand WHY these assessments tests are timed. I can bet you $1 million YOU never designed one SINGLE accurate question within the alloted time you require test takers to complete ONE question. I guarantee you it took HOURS and even had to verified the correct answers through research and EVEN longer that you had to put it to code. Multiple checks for correctness were done. Basically, just BECAUSE you can doesn't mean YOU should. MANY employers are falling for this NONSENSE of which THEY wouldn't pass it either.
The question about the two ice cream factories: If Factory A manufactured '10X' as many pounds as Factory B, then Factory A manufactured '80,000 pounds' of ice cream. So, '80,000' is the answer. In your example, your answer was '8,000' which is incorrect b/c '8,000' is how much Factory B manufactured. The question asked how much Factory A manufactured, not Factory B. Does this mean one of the test questions is wrong? If that's the case, then selecting the correct answer will count against the test taker.
@@calebwhite6173 I applied to a job and taking this test was a requirement. I didn't get the job because my score was too high and they assumed I must have studied beforehand and didn't like that.
i am trying to purchase this and it keeps erroring and not taking my credit card. i know my credit card is good can anybody give advice to purchase this?
I wish I knew just how high Ingevity wanted me to score to consider me for a job. I have the math skills of a drunk gerbil, so I know I'll either fail miserably or barely pass by the skin of my teeth but score so low they won't even consider me as a potential employee candidate...
Firstly, you should find someone else to narrate this video - it takes you forever to get to the point, you have lots of ums and ahs, and you drone on with a largely useless narrative. Get a professional speaker who can cut to the chase. I fail to see the significance of giving candidates in professional roles dealing with people and life situations a silly test that utilizes numbers, pattern recognition, percentages, and mathematical formulas they would NEVER employ within their role in the workplace. Instead why not create a situational test or project based on the type of actual work the candidate would be doing and have them work through that to see how they fare. Wonderlic tests are mental masturbation for bored test practitioners.
The reason I came here is because someone pre-interview want me to take this. I never heard of Wonderlic (?). With 32+ years of experience as a software developer I NEVER passed or gotten a job through a coding or other assessment. I am self-taught but now doing my college degree with 4.0. These and other assessments are a joke. The employers claim their looking for related people but are WAY off the charts with these NONSENSICAL assessments. They prove NOTHING. They make these tests, market them to people who cannot relate well to people. The ones making well from this are these assessment companies. It's best to start your own company and when these nubes come knocking your door tell them to eat rocks.
