Recording of a live-streamed performance of Wondrous Stories from Friday 18 March at 8.30pm (GMT).
Packed full of amazing dance-circus by a mass cast, visual magic and spectacular aerial moments, this incredible large-scale show opened the Birmingham 2022 Festival.

Conceived and directed by Motionhouse’s Artistic Director Kevin Finnan, Wondrous Stories was a extraordinary free large-scale production on Centenary Square in Birmingham from 17 - 20 March 2022.
Presented by Birmingham 2022 Festival. Wondrous Stories was created by Motionhouse and produced by Outdoor Places Unusual Spaces (OPUS). Generously supported by Arts Council England, National Lottery Heritage Fund and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.

Wondrous Stories 19March22 and so it's come it's here it has arrived! yes Wondrous Stories are now being told twice nightly by the Library's where we ride while costume hats and coats keep out the cold our numbers Covid low but on we go and singing with the soundtrack sounding strong we grab the crowd and dip them in the flow of this event's intent by means of song our acrobatics music rap and dances evoke for City folk their City’s glories and evening sky grown boldly dark enhances flying cyclists as they let loose Wondrous Stories mine's there among the many floating down a Commonwealth of Tales told by this Town LeQev™

How much did the council etc pay for this? Great for those involved but we have to walk past homeless people to see it.

You will be doing that in every city mate. It was a wonderful event for the city for those taking part, and those that were lucky to see it like myself this evening.

There was a choir full of ex homeless people, Choir With No Name, that show what can be achieved with support and empathy. The council and therefore council tax payers support many homeless charities in the City. Also, the description explains where the funding came from.

@@starmanJez exactly 💯 another thing as well the event was unticketed and FREE so current homeless people could come and watch and be inspired by my choir and get great life opportunities like being apart of this event that just took place should they choose to join
