Jim Breuer was excellent here. Perfect John Holmes 70's type.

It's like they set up an interesting premise and then the story played out in the most predictable and "meh" manner imaginable. No wonder the audience barely made a sound.

This IS my all time favorite characters and I would remind my coworkers about them. Afterwards I would do a "Wong&Owens" once in awhile just to get a laff.

I thought Jim Breur was one of the best and most flexible cast members of SNL during this time. As he maturely said, with gratitude and no regrets, about his SNL experience: "When you're in this business, you're chasing false identities, chasing money and stardom, which is nothing you can hold onto," Breuer says. "I became an angry, mean person. I had always said it was time to leave if I wasn't having fun. I asked to quit and they didn't pick up my contract. [Producer] Lorne [Michaels] was very respectful. I want Alex cancelled. That was sexist. Actually I think he’s got other problems to worry about.

This was extremely uncomfortable. How was I supposed to laugh when they probably scarred that poor woman? Her pretend terror sounded way too real, and not to be "that person who can't take a joke" but it brings to mind the realities of sexual harassment and the damage it does to women despite how easily we minimize such encounters. Nope, didn't like this one.
