Are these really wood lanes or is just the cribbing wood? I'm no expert by any means but I've never seen down lane markers like these on wood lanes. Some angles in the video look like the lanes are wood and some look like they are synthetic. Pin decks are obviously synthetic.
I don't know why a 7 year old video of a bowling alley installation popped up on my RU-vid feed, but I gotta say I'm VERY impressed! As a bowling fan of 40+ years, I've always been in awe of the installations, and the mechanics of how things work. Also, the efficiency of it all too! They worked so fast!! I never saw the clock on the wall move at all! It stayed at 12:00! I'm guessing they had to hurry for the lunch break. All that fast paced work in such a short time! 🤣 In all seriousness though. I'm glad this popped up on my feed. It was incredible to watch how the lanes were made.
From the front of the approach to the back of the machines is 80' if I am not mistaken. That doesn't include any room before the approach, or after the machines.
Do you have any idea of what an refurbished or used A-2 pinsetter can cost? I am thinking of buying a used one in the future for my home. They are literally a piece of art and the machinery is fantastic! :D
Are those factory A-2s (Scotch Yokes move the deck, come down fast but slow down near the bottom) or Converted A-2s(Lowering links move the deck, more of a constant speed)?
Lol you must believe time travel is real. Today is Jan 21 2024. The video is SEVEN years old. So they created this video 2 Yeats BEFORE the project you're describing? Lolol comedy at it's finest.
