I wish you would show the tools in other woods than basswood because basswood is supereasy wood to carve as well as a kind of wood that people have to buy so you do not really show how the tools function in wood people can gather themselves in their local garden, forest or materialshops.
We have tutorials for beginners, so we use the simplest wood material. But thanks for the comment - we will think about how to diversify our tutorials.

I'm also a Blacksmith hobbyist and building myself carving knives and partly because I want my handle to fit as I'm 72 and my hands tired easily. I need a great fit. Question can I get a print as to show the shape of carving chisels, I believe I can make them myself and I need to keep my funding for rent and groceries my wife's needs also. It’s not uncommon for wood carvers to experience occasional numbness in their fingers, often due to repetitive motions and sustained pressure. Take pauses and give your hands some time to relax during long carving sessions 🙏
