Wow. I've learned more from this video than any of the books I've used...makes such a difference when you see it from the beginning. I have such respect for your process. Excellent handling of tools...and thank you for not using annoying, distracting music and narration. Thank you!
Your love for your granddaughter made me order some wood carving tools. I'm 23 right now, maybe in a few years I can do a similar piece of art for my kids.
That is so beautiful what an awesome talent to have, but not only shows the great love of your grandchild but will be a testament of your personality for generations of your family to come, somthing made from your own two hands a great connection for them. maybe even inspire another talent carver!!
A few chisels and an hammer and there you go..art. It's amazing how brilliant simplicity actually is. I wonder if the busts are previously done on clay or if it goes into wood directly without any practicing beforehand. Impressive and beautiful nonetheless.
what do i see here? pure talent is what!! congratulations ! you are clearly very skilled. i also woodcarve some as a hobby and if im ever half as skilled as you i wil be happy :D
hello sir your work is amazing, I'm new to wood carving and am wondering what sort of chisels and gouges would you recommend to accomplish the level of detail you get in your work?
The rules of portraiture state that for every line you add to a woman or childs face you will add ten years to the age of that person. This is really outstanding work. I would be interested in knowing what source you used to get likeness. Your accomplishment with human anatomy proportions look spot on.
