Just watched woodpigeons doing this out of my window, but on a row of 4 chimney pots. The female was on pot 1, the male on pot 4. He bowed, hopped onto pot 3, then 2, bowed a few times then hopped back to 4 and started the whole thing again. I hope she was impressed.
Just saw a incredible display for the first time on my garden fence. The pair were totally in tune with each others movements, they even joined beaks in a “kiss” (perhaps the male gifting food)!
Just saw this happening outside my window, as they walked all the way down the path he was bowing towards her. I don't think he was getting very far with her though because she flew off! lol
I just watched some mating scenario from the window of our lab and I was impressed by that. I never saw a pigeon trying so hard to mate... She chose the other one who just appeared out of nowhere, I guess.. poor baby..
I gave food to street pigeons on a roof near one of my windows for all winter...now that is almost summer they're coming in hundreds and all my neighbors are hissing at me lololol I hope they'll stop because right now they're staying here even without receiving food from me LOL
Female that already have mate will peck new adorattor, if it was male he would kick is back feathers before he will able to bow, they very agressive and territorial during nesting season.
