Customer is having a pellet stove put in. The floor needs a fireproof layer, they selected ceramic tile. This was my first tile job, it came out pretty well. Stay tuned for parts 2 and 3 of this project.

That actually works, putting a level on top of the tile, to make a flat floor out of thinset.

It’s not thick enough to need a transition

Why add board behind tile and not direct to wall? Why apply adhesive to floor and then to tile?
