That is beautiful! You have skills.. I remember watching my father working in his shop at home when I was a kid.. I still love the smell of wood. I'm so sorry about your beautiful Sadie. Been there, it's hard.
The project is great. I note that you are wearing a ring while turning. It is a potentially dangerous habit especially when you use thel arge hose clamps to hold your work together
Your Xmas ornament looked great. I'm trying to make an inside out vase but I've not seen any of the Utubes illustrate their plan/template for the inside. Can you tell me how to determine how to plan for the window size? Is this a hit and miss thing or... It seems like this is the most important part of the project yet everyone skips over the inside planning step. Do you have any info on this?
Very cool. First time i have seen an inside out turning with a shape turned into the inside. Most are just rounded. And the snowman and light was an extra bonus. You just gained another subscriber. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice project, like that you did not glue this together to start the project. I have a question regarding your grizzly lathe and the pulley that was loud. How did you quiet it down?
MY HEART GOES OUT FOR YOU ON YOUR LOSS OF SADIE!!! ON A LITTLE LIGHTER NOTE, THAT IS A BEAUTIFUL PIECE AND WORTHY, TO ME, OF A TITLE IN THE CHALLENGE!!! GOOD LUCK TO YOU , AND THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR TALENT WITH US!! TAKE CARE!!!
A year late but your piece is beautiful! I'm sorry that you lost your little friend Sadie! Just a note: Our dog Ranger ate some of my wifes Christmas cookies that contained Walnuts. We called poison control and were told that eating the actual walnuts wasn't really a problem as much as a dog being subjected to walnut sawdust or them chewing on the bark. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Tom
