Hello all! Today I have a super fun video, it's a kazoo battle! Aklot sent me 6 aluminum kazoos to try out, and I just had to order the wooden one so I could compare the sound. The wooden kazoo is so much fun - super buzzy and very warm. The aluminum kazoos sound great too, exactly like a typical kazoo sound! These would be so great for a classroom, birthday party favors, or a family reunion - anywhere you'll have lots of kids or people who like acting like kids :D

You have an adorable personality. I really thought the wooden Kazoo would sound better than the metal ones. Would love to be a fly on the wall in your class when you have a kazoo orchestra!... uh but only for probably a minute 😯

I'm rather bummed that no one takes the kazoo seriously as a musical instrument. It definitely has its place. And so coincidentally I have those EXACT kazoos. I was not impressed with the pricey wooden one but I am absolutely in love with those metal ones! It's because it's so easy to take the diaphragm out and change it. And, no, I don't just mean with another cheap plastic one. There are SO many more options in order to add variety and change the sound. Wax paper, cigarette paper, sales receipts, you name it. Additionally how tight or loose it sits in there has a huge impact on the sound and how well a kazoo picks up low or high end vibration. To make matters even better I've been buying these at Five Below for only $1!

Personally I love the sound of the wooden one and I think it's a little higher quality 😊

I was not sure what this video was about when I stumbled upon it. I only realised after she started playing it 5 minutes or so in that it was not a box of sex toys. I seriously thought that it was her Ann Summers or Lovehoney parcel judging by her excitement at unpacking it

I bought the same model and it was disappointing. The tin it came in is just right for guitar bits and pieces though.

@@sleepynet13 This one sounds fine! Perhaps it's the way it's being played. That's one of the good things about kazoos though: even mass-produced ones can have their individual tone. That's an excuse to have a few.

They are just fine. If you are willing to spend more, the Meeland plastic kazoo is superior.
