"i wanted to do so much more.. and then it was stolen from me!" is the perfect way to sum up this game! 😂 it always feels like you just need ONE more round! i love woodcraft soo much it's my go-to solo game, i can just sit down and focus on the game for like 2 hours, it's great fun for me. the solo is insane though it says 120 points is good, or something like that, and 140 is excellent?? that's crazy high, i think i only managed to get 140 once but u need to max out reputation, and do like 10+ orders. and some luck with the helpers and the forest dice rolls doesn't hurt. all in all i think this is a super unique game with a really cool theme and soo many fantastic ideas that just work together perfectly! thank you for the play-through, i really enjoyed it, as usual! ☺️
Just wanted to pop in and say I finally got a chance to play my copy of woodcraft and this playthrough was 100% the reason why I bought it and also how I refreshed myself on how to play. It's an awesome game, thanks!!
Great video. Love the speed of this. I believe there was about to be made an error at 42:05 You can get an extra action for 3 lanterns, but this isn't an extra turn. So even if he did have a tree planted you wouldnt grow it on your extra action.
Great playthrough! Can not wait to get my hands on this game and try it with the husband. Love that it goes quick but still has all the important/agonizing decisions.
This game looks fantastic. Can’t wait to table it. Apparently, “Math is an abbreviation of mathematics, which is a count noun in British English because there are different types of maths (geometry, algebra, calculus, etc.) and a mass noun that happens to end in an 's' in American English (like gymnastics in both dialects).” Thanks Google!
The fourteen turns are so deliciously restrictive that you never get to do half the things you were hoping for. Almost like Feast For Odin, I feel like every play could be trying something new.
My most anticipated game from last year, sadly I haven't yet cracked it open. This playthrough might change that. However the theme is definitely so misleading, it's a crunchier game than it appears.
