I made my first earrings with me glueing the blacks to the paper. Then saw your video where you cut it out. I am not cutting them out to try them. My finger is killing me. But I wanted to say that earrings with wood stain and paper. It is outstanding.
Thank you for the Mod Podge remark… I don’t know why but it drives me crazy when people come on You Tube doing tutorials and keep saying “Modge” Podge over and over. I guess we all have our pet peeves 😊
This is my first time watching your videos, and " well aren't you special 'she sure thought she was' " made me follow you and of course how beautiful these earrings are i love honest and real creators!
The jewelry crafting world was robbed when Wendy left to Heaven. I wish I would've found her RU-vid channel before she passed away so she could've seen all of the comments on here from all of us new people that have found her RU-vid channel. she was such a sweet person there's not many other RU-vid channels that I will sit and watch a really long video and I love Jody too she's amazing
I 'm a beginner and you showed me a lot thanks you very much. With different kinds of paper I just liked it very much will make some soon. Yes it will make a good Mother's Day gift. You do explain your work very well. Again thanks God Bless
THANK YOU for the Mod Podge comment. I just watched a lady that said it repeeeeeeeaaaaaaatedly throughout the video, despite pointing at the label on the bottle. *cringe* You just gained a new follower! :-)
Thanks for sharing this beautiful jewelry creation with me. I've had some wooden pendants that have all ready been stained. Now u gave me a wonderful idea to do something with them finally. Thanks for sharing your talents with me.
I've been watching your tutorial! I was trying to decide whether or not to purchase those from Amazon! I think now I will!I have always used DOLLAR TREE nail polishes to decorate my handmade earrings! Gonna try them your way way next time!
Came across this the other day. Got some blanks and tried it out today. You are right. They are super cute and super fun!! Thanks for a great video. I subscribed. 😊❤️
Wendy, Amazing Earrings!💛💛💛 These all turned out beautifully. My favorite is the Silver with the angel wing rose charm.💘 You are so talented and creative. Love them all.
These are all gorgeous! My favorites are the wood stained with gold. I love that you share so many new techniques that I have not tried. It makes me wan to try something new!
These are such cute and easy earrings to make! I’m a crafter too and this looks like a lot of fun! I have no problem getting my hands dirty! Lol Thank you Wendy!♥️♥️
Suppose to stir stain. Shaking cause bubbles. Love the earrings. I would like to try them. Glad I found your channel. Look forward to seeing more. . P.s. I know on the stain because I had that happen to me doing cabinets. I found out later suppose to stir. Fun in learning.
Those came out really cute! When I sand the uneven edges off, I use either a sanding block like yours or an emery board but I sand it from the front to the back but on an angle so that I am only sanding the very edge where the paper and the wood meet.
these earrings are sweet!!! love each pair !! when it comes to sanding paper, hold the piece still in ur hand , and use the sander to move , but start at the side that u want to show and only go downwards toward the bottom , this will give u a sharp clean cut look to ur piece , hope that helps , ty for sharing ur amazing talents with us all !!
I had made a lot since I first saw this video! I wanted to figure out how to share it with you and realize I'm in your FB group page! I am in so many FB group pages I lost count! Love this DIY!
@@wendyscraftingfriends Oh and my apologies I meant to say how much I loved the idea of adding pretty scrapbook paper to the earrings. I add fabric, napkins, pretty much anything to small wood shapes after drilling a little hole for jump rings. Love the end products. 👍
Hi Wendy thanks for the video and it good to do some thing different once in a while if they were stone or bone or glass they would be good for middle of a rosette or medallion but paper and wood not so mush also I do use mode pudge before it for stiffing my own felt com bow of tacky glue and mode pudge with little bite of water that what I use for colors that you can't get in already stiff felt but for bigger beaded projects I use vary stiff pellon and it bite thick then pellon 70 just letting you know that you can use mode podge for paper on top of felt it one for those tradition's that I take on lately
If the stain is watery thin like that it might be caked on the bottom, you should try a wooden stick to loosen it up a bit, I had stain that was years old that I was unable to loosen up, tossed out to recycle center and bought a smaller new can! They make craft stain you can get at Michaels. It's sold where all the painting supplies are.
It just depends on how many materials I have for that project and where Im planning to sell them. If its a huge craft show and I have enough materials, Id make several pairs : )
You mentioned that you hate to hear people say Modge Podge instead of Mod Podge. I'm the same way about how people say Acrost instead of Across that bugs me to death. Where do people get the word acrost there is no t in the word across. Those earings would be beautiful with a rhinestone in the middle where the little circle is.
