This was my exam project for basic carpentry.
I'm working on making this idea into a business, therefore i can't share the drawings.

Probably the most perfect video I've seen in a while. The sheer ingenuity that has gone in to the construction of the desk drawer, where everything aligns perfectly amazed me. The editing is top notch too. Haven't been PC envious in a while.

This is the kind of desk I would built if I ever did water cooling. But one of the things I would do different is the fans. I would have them inset with foam in-between the wood and the fan to remove any possibility vibrations. Just something simply like foam strips, they are cheep and can be gotten in black with adhesive so they would be pretty much invisible.

I want something similar but les glamorous - a little case with just the components and two big radiators outside of the case. The radiators do not make much noise and they do not bother me. I do not like the coil whine noise, so this would allow me to "seal" the components while still maintaining good cooling. One small water radiator inside the case should be enough for the motherboard and other stuff. DIY Perks Building a spectacular DIY 'desk PC' (it can fold!) on YT is my inspiration ;)

This is so close to what I'd like to build in the future! The only concern I have is sagging of the wood under that is holding the cables 8:22. If you add other peripheral cables, the thin wood would def bow and warp down the line. Great build and reference, thanks!

Version 2.0 is 175 long and will be made out of solid wood, not chipboard. :p

1st thought of this 10 years ago glad to see someone made it, obvi many others have but this was my 1st brain storm design, almost anyways, later renditions were to externalize the cooling system an hoses to the outside an top of desk and integrate with a fish tank, not the liquid but like the tubes would run thru the fish tank and they would add an athstetic ..visual appeal to the tank at sametime the tank could act as the radiator, like how pool solar works, flat series of thin tubes run thru the water that would cool liquid in tubes plus doubling as a heater for the tank, then motorized drop down flat screen into the desk but yea this was 1st idea i had all them years ago

The only thing I don't like about this build is the reservoir. Having the pump separate and the reservoir fillable from the top would have been the icing on the cake.

Haha, true. Although I would go for matte black finish on the wood, insulate the glass against spilling any liquids and slapped the GPU right on the mobo, 'coz this way it kinda looks weird, but that's just me.

Anyway my previous comments stand. -I'd open up the intake to truly optimize airflow. -The suggestion to add a dust filter on the exhaust that someone else previously commented is absolutely a worthless idea - And if I may add one more thing, I'd recommend swapping the opaque white fluid for simply distilled water with growth inhibitor or clear premix fluid if you haven't done so already for long-term use.

Very nice build. I rate it 7/10 :) (1 point because there are no easy to clean dustfilters, 1 point because the powersupply blocks a fair bit of the fans and 1 point because the desk is not electric hight adjustable).

I'm designing something similar now. 0. How to plug connectors to MB? You have only 2 USB at front... 1. Wires (AC power in, video, keyb, mouse, audio, LAN, steering wheel, ...) will interfere with pulling out the drawer. Do not offer to use batteries... Use support for wires behind the box (as on 3D printers). 2. Use drawer guides. 3. Maybe you need more 3.5 HDD disks places.
