I wish Assassin's Creed would add Joerge as a cameo playing a weaponsmith, his voice and character would suite the game very well too !! LET ME SHOW YOU ITS FEATURES .. a line id love to hear him say in the game !!
*i LOVE that idea...he would be such an amazing character specializing in unique one of a kind custom tailored weaponry...perhaps a campaign needs to be set up to promote the idea...this is just something that NEEDS to happen*
I watch the German feed when it is available even though I know very little German just to see his enthusiasm for his projects - his skill shines through
I have printed 5 sliding legolinis so far, because it is brilliant. Kept 4 of them for myself, played a bit around for modifications and presented one of them to a friend. he became instant fan of yours and subscribed to the channel. (kudos to that Lukasz guy who made stls possible). I would be really really happy if someone also uploaded this as an stl...this looks so cool. Anyways, thanks Jörg, you are an inspiring person.
As much as I love watching you use the bows I think my favorite part of watching your videos is your laugh. You have a very enjoyable and hearty/healthy laugh
Awesome. Such a master craftsman, amazing how he builds these things from scratch. He'd totally survive in an apocalyptic situation since he can build his own weapons where as most people try to find one lol. Great video.
Tod of Tod's workshop also shows that steel bows have a speed limit. Even a 1000lb+ bow doesn't move a projectile faster than an 800lb bow, it is just able to move a heavier projectile. Steel isn't an ideal bow material.
I think with the correct steel like tempered spring steel, you can get good performance. Sacrificing a little speed for power can be worth it, and you can definitely make something formidable without needing such large draw weights. You want to use steel that wouldn’t have been available during medieval times, then again nobody had fiberglass back then either.
This has to be the most underated weapon ever. like seriously, it can kill someone almost as fast as a pistol if you're at close ish range. Plus, it is silent and you don't need a license in most countries.
Seeing the increase in penetration with the sharp broadheads - have you ever experimented with Palaeolithic style tips edged with flint shards? Since flint is almost as sharp as glass, it could give a guide as to the force multiplier they would give. (Noting that those broadheads seemed just as sharp, and more durable). The flint tip would probably be damaged, but I think it would be valid , even though there is no evidence of crossbows . There is evidence of simple hunting bows, and use of spear-throwers/atl-atl type devices Many thanks for the channel!!
cad files for the lever mechanism would be amazing. why has nobody made some laser cutting files for this? if i understood how the trigger actually locks id make them but nobody has drawings or anything
A kill shot would have to penetrate the heart, but it is protected by the rib cage, therefore not lethal. The other option, is a difficult shot at the jugular, which would be lethal, but not immediately. An eye socket shot, which incidentally isn't lethal either, at least not by the penetrating strength of this pistol crossbow. Conclusion, do not rely upon this pistol crossbow for home defense.
You could have it scanned and sale the program to cover cost and make a bit of profit 📈 this is prefect for 3D printing and future modifications. Love your channel and enthusiastic presentation.
Im 16 secs in the video and um just amazed by the idea guy il be honest you can change the world in enginuity and your videos spark inspiration for new way to look at an object and rebuild it better than it used to be like your awesime keep following your dreams and sling the future to tomorrow!!!
Would have been interesting to have a radar or speed meter to see what kind of meters per second these arrows fly at at exit velocity and impact velocity at different lengths.
Yes love it, i want to see the lever action used twice, once to cock the wepon and again to increase the power of the string and propel the projectile.
"I can do this all day long" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 wen i give a thumbs up, i mean 10 thumb ups 😀 As a big fan of yours wish you all the best! Keep up the great wosk, you are unique!!
Hey I just seen a slingshot rifle on aliexpress and i wondered if you had already done a review or if it was your design??it looks very well done at least from the little I saw i cant speak to the quality of the material but it looks legit and I wanted your opinion thanks
Once again Joerg makes me stop the video, screen shot, start video, stop, screen shot, start, stop, screen shot, start...so I can try and duplicate his design. He doesn't make my life easy lol. The biggest obstacle is making a strong, safe trigger mechanism. I've bought two metal triggers - wooden ones failed - but their internal springs aren't strong enough to hold an 80 lb pistol limb. I really like this new design from his earlier chu ko nu model but it's obviously far more complex.
Many years ago, " Popular Mechanics" Magazine published a nice plan for a pistol Crossbow--- That was Way back when Pop Mech, and Pop Science were really cool publications, Instead of Mostly Damned Advertiseing , Like Nowadays ----
I would love to see this as a steel ball thrower with a large capacity ammo reserve. I love arrows and crossbows but I remember the damage of those steel balls from the old videos.
Hurting and Injuring doesn't mean stopping! You can even mortally wound someone but it doesn't mean it'll prevent attacker from doing the same to you. So never use for home defense anything that doesn't have enough dedicated incapacitating stopping power.
Joerg, can you please assemble - desassemble your self-cocking slingshot pistol like the forgotten weapon channel, so we can clearly see it's "features" so that we can make a blueprint out of it. Thank you with love from the Philippines That will be all... Bye bye hahaja
@@Slingshotchannel ohh.. I guess you shouldn't make... Have fun is much important than knowing how it is made... We just figured it out for ourselves the features hahahaha.. anyway it's really an honor to chat with you.. thank you and love from the Philippines..
Hey, super cooler channel. Sehr sympathisch, und angenehm zu gucken. Durch dich bin ich auf slingshots aufmerksam geworden. Lg Bastian . Mach mal Brandmunition für slingshots, wäre interessant.
Amazing videos! If you want to help people clone your great inventions blueprints or STL files aren't the only option. Taking a picture of the pieces from the top and over a grid like a cutting pad or even a math notebook.
