Woodford end of an era
June 23rd 2011 marked the end of an era at the historic BAE Woodford aircraft plant in Cheshire.
The factory, which produced the legendary Lancaster Bomber and in more recent years the Nimrod reconnaissance plane, closed today. Aircraft have been built there since 1924.
