I am OBSESSED with all of his music right now. I can't believe it took me so long to discover him.

Back in 2013, I was 28, living alone and listened to this music thanks to a tip by a colleague and friend. Completely forgot about it. Well, its 2019, I'm about to be a dad, live with my wife and dog and I still cry listening to it. /truestory

His voice is so unlike any other singer, that what makes his music so different, and i hope that one day he will get the recognition he deserves just like Vincent van Gogh but i hope he dose not die before the time.

my son passed five days ago. I cried to my grandma that I should be planning his birthday not his funeral arrangements. I look down at my phone ready to make more calls and google search was up and read "I love you" and this was the song that was showing. We enjoyed listening to Woodkid durning relax time. I miss him dearly. I just thought I'd share my weird experience just now.

Here is my interpretation of this clip. It directly follows "run boy run". The boy, who represented hope, and innocence in the World, has been defeated ans corrupted. This "Priest" dies inside with the lost of this kid, the hope, which is the "loved one" but tries to survive. But he cant materialy survive if he hasn't got hope for the future. "Where are you" is his last call before really dying, this time for real, going back to a single rock, that doesnt have any emotion or will without hope. Thats just my opinion and you may have understood solething else, i'd appreciate if you share your version! thanks

My brother killed himself over some b****. It's almost 6 years now, when I hear this song I feel closer to him. I feel his pain and sorrow. I haven't any regrets in life but one, why didn't I see it that he was hurt. I know I could have saved him. I will never forget him, he was my older brother, my best friend. In his memory my son has his name (second name). I miss you everyday and it's still hurts. But I know he is happy now, he and our oldest brother are together again and in that I find peace

So here is my interpret of the Woodkid Story.(Videos: Iron,Run Boy Run,I Love You) Here are some things to keep in mind: Firstly, there is no correct story line Woodkid said himself that: “I create these stories with missing pieces. Missing pieces are very interesting because then people wanna fill them. People are afraid of emptiness and they wanna fill those gaps…. That’s exactly what I want to do with my art. I want people to think about what they see and wonder if what they see is real. If what they see has a meaning.” Without further ado, here is my idea. This tells the story of a boy who grows up and wants to escape his place of birth, to grow up and become his own man. IRON illustrates the beginning of Woodkid's adventure, he is seen lifeless upon a slab of marble. His father, and priest stands off to the side violently reading the passages from the Double-Keyed book. Yoann implored in interviews the book stands as a kind of Bible. Meaning that the Double-Key's are a form of religion as well as Society. As the Darkness is closing in (black streaks from the sky). An army of this religious fanatics are upon Woodkid and possibly his father. (The mace/flag wielding Eminem had a double-key tattoo). His father is either condemning his sons death or trying to somehow revive him, but by his appearance we'll say condemning. The darkness defeats the Double-Key army and the Double Key'd religious text slips in flames at the power of the darkness. At the end of the video, the camera dolly's on Woodkid's face and fades to the unsettling darkness of the sky. Then ending on a white citadel. RUN BOY RUN is the climax of the boy's life, the darkness has revived him of his death, as well as ruining his one structure to life, The Double Key'd Bible. Running and becoming his own man, Dark allies swarm to aid him in his journey of not redemption, but his way of putting a fresh start to his existence. In the song it goes: "Run Boy Run Eh, their trying to catch you..." Which refers back to the chosen army of hunters in Iron. At the end the boy raises his sword to charge into battle and take the white city of Double Key'd black flags. As states earlier, the Keys also stand for Society. And in this song, it says "Run Boy Run ! This race is a prophecy, Run Boy Run ! Break out from society" Showing that the boy is choosing the abandon his religion and culture to become his own man. I LOVE YOU Is the complete ending to the story, the father and priest is seen to be facing a congregation, dressed in entire black. At this time, he is telling a story of his past struggles at the loss of his son. (In the beginning of the video, Woodkid's dead corpse is seen, beside the viking style helmet he had in Run Boy Run). Showing that the charge had failed, and sadly the boy had lost in his quest of originality. However, now the father is heart broken and explains his misfortune before his church. There is a shot of an old man holding the priests set of Double Key's meaning the Priests abandonment of faith, and by the looks of it, the congregation as well.(Of Double Keys.) He's seen in an endless mirage of depression out in the middle of nowhere, maddened by the loss of his son. In the end he decides that he will go against the Double Keys and kill himself by drowning. He becomes swallowed in the crevasse of the sea floor. Then it cuts back to him in the church. Done with his story, looking to his hands, realizing that he is stone. The stone of the crevasse and of death. That he is already dead, and there is no return.

My brother died 2 days ago. He was just 20 years old. We dont even know why he died yet. Its so unfair. This song soothes my pain somehow. Rest in peace little brother, I will always have you in my heart and in my mind. You will not be forgotten.

I'm slowly becoming a Woodkid fan. I love all of his songs I have heard so far. 

People keep on saying this song is about a relationship with a girl, but I really think it's about god. He is losing his faith with god not listening to his prayers, "Is there any chance you could see me too? Cause I love you". The relationship with the ocean in this I think might have to do with him drowning in his own sins, and him asking god to help him "In the waves I've lost every trace of you, Where are you". Anyway, that's what I think.
