Woodlark (Singing) 

To my mind the most wonderful thing about Wareham Forest in Spring is hearing the beautiful song of the Woodlark. On a quiet day their song seems to carry for miles but it isn't always easy to pinpoint where the little songster is, as they often sing from the tops of trees, as with the one at the start of this video. Having almost given up on getting any decent video, we continued along the Woodlark Trail then towards Morden Bog where we heard another one singing. To our surprise it was on top of a small conifer tree about forty yards from us. It then flew down and landed on a small tree stump where it continued to sing it's beautiful melody. Wow! what a wonderful experience. I hope by sharing this video you will enjoy it too.
