Thank you for going through set up. It looks stout. I like that thumb control set up. Very interesting to use outrigger stable for conversation. I guess you yourself will see if you like to reach forward and down to raise/Lower the thumb. Please do a video on how you like the reach to grab a smaller lever forward. I would in my Humble opinion get confused on reaching for stable control Levers. Anyway that Backhoe looks so beefy. Sucks that the carrier doesn't care enough to at least put an old rag or something over the new cylinder outside to protect it. Back in 1978 my father got a brand new Case 580-C One of the two boom cylinders had a chip gouge on it. The salesman said don't worry it's nothing. "Guess what" about a month later, it started leaking. The same salesman said we did it. Moral of the story. NEVER let your NEW piece of Heavy Equipment leave the sales yard, till you have inspected it fully. Check all your cylinders. Don't do what a hurry up and get it off my lot salesman intimidating you. Don't take the machine till the problem is fixed or some kind of lower money trade.
Hooking up to the 3 point and all with no subframe attached is a good way to split your tractor in half. On the plus side you can inspect the inside of you transmission.
Makes a lot of sense when you considered having 800lbs plus on the 3pth racing across a field. Just cuz your 3pth is rated for a spec for lifting doesn't mean it was designed to have one of the heaviest impliments your going to put back there with no consequences. Common sense...Just like wheel bearings on your vehical are not a good mix with potholes as they're not designed for impact.
Great video, thanks for posting. It looks like the backhoe is mounted to the 3-point hitch, have you had any problems with it being mounted this way instead of a sub-frame? I'm thinking of doing the same kind of set-up as I can't find a sub-frame for my tractor. Thanks in advance.
None at all. I'm the one driving the backhoe in the video and it's been between my dad's new Holland and my TC30 New Holland and no issues on either tractor.
That is a handy tool to have, the HOSS-IT-IS. The backhoe and one man can replace 20 men with shovels. Now I am kind of curious, what is going in where, the backhoe is digging. That is a good attachment for your tractor. I have a relative, that was whacked by a backhoe shovel, operated by a friend. The relative was doing the clean-up work, with a hand-manipulated shovel. ... My relative quit the job; he did not think his friend was a careful operator. ... My relative just ended up with a badly bruised arm and shoulder. But, he thought, maybe next time, he might end up with a big dent in his head. (A hardhat will not stop a backhoe shovel.)
John Back in 1979 a Laborer got inside my Backhoe bucket to be pulled out of the ditch. We were trying to find side sewer stubs from the big mainline project. We had a Dynahoe & and a Case-780-C digging the side sewer stubs. I did not tell the guy to "get your hands inside the bucket" He broke his wrist holding outside of the bucket coming up ( hand got jammed by a big root stick. I did feel really bad. But mostly for not being more firm about keeping ARMS/ FINGERS always inside the bucket
The money we spent on a used tractor with a loader broke our budget for the next 3 years and now my wife is giving me dirty looks because I started considering a backhoe for it and drooled when you showed the thumb attachment. Oh and can you believe this, she's now saying I'm grounded from youtube. Oh no ya don't...hey....help.... she's trying to take the mouse from me! I'll be back thumb attachment...I'll be baaaaaaaack :o)
I think after reading about you situation I’ll just tear up my honey dew list and start on my bucket list. Then again, probably some of the work you’ll do with the new backhoe is on her honey do list. Like digging up stumps that refuse to rot. Have fun.
I contacted these folks 3 weeks ago about ordering the 7600. they said they were having computer trouble calculating my state tax. I'm still waiting to hear back from them. Forget it WoodMaxx don't even bother.KMA
If you buy one, do not put gear oil in the pump, find Something Else. When the pump is running, it has a vent when it gets hot and all you smell is gear oil.
