We have an older woodmizer and love it. We use it all the time, handy to be able to make your own lumber. We also invented in a small plainer. It’s work but fun work. Great video guys!

I use a small handheld planer! It's a lot of work, but it works! And it was cheaper than a bigger planer!

Soo cool……😊 The mill is awesome. That weather is absolutely beautiful… Really no different here as last frost. I can’t plant outside the beds till May 10th. Spring is so fun for the garden. Those strawberries plants are pretty hardy. Priority on things that need to be done, spring is busy. You’re not far on the mill now.👊 Ha Ha it’s like getting pulled over and them realizing, your that channel they watch… (we love you guys)That’s awesome. Be safe and have a wonderful week you two..!’

Congrats on your sawmill... My suggestion for lubrication of the blade is windshield wiper fluid for negative temps, it's like an orange/red color. Once, you get everything in order. Not sure if you have a drill attachment for the tractor, drill holes around your mill for a shed to cover it next winter... Mill your own posts, lumber, rafters, and secure it lag bolts and long screws. A younger couple did the same north of your location, Simple Living Alaska on RU-vid. Just look for their sawmill shed build.

Gotta love it when the sawmill gets broke out...lol 😂😅 And, a brand new motor to break! I mean, break in...lol Getting a jump on the gardens, fun and relaxing times. It was great the USCG seaman recognized ya'll, but you didn't include the boarding, so something went awry. 😅😂 Love ya'll ❤

I rebuilt my whole cabin outside of Yakutat with my woodmizer lt10, love it. biggest thing is constantly make sure the frame is level and change blades as soon as it starts to wander. Beach spruce holds a lot of sand on the intial cuts so i use 2 blades per log. One I use over and over for creating my intial cuts and then a new blade for cutting my dimensional lumber. Ive found once you start seeing "worms" on spruce its time to change blades.

You need 2 long timbers to set your saw mill on and bolt it down. you can move it all around the island need be.

I wonder how long it will take the industry to invent a camera system, where a camera is on a tall, forward leaning boom so that you can see so good that you can drop the cargo that you carry on the forks with exact precision? Any one willing to steal this idea idea is welcome!

Hello you two crazy Alaska kids . Mrs loosing weight - you OK prayers for you ? Wind turbine helping with power during the cloud filled days & night time ? Hope so . Coast Guard hmmmmm. When that was happening to us , we started inviting them over . Then we couldn’t get rid of them untill we stoped feeding them . lol ❤ live free or die hard is a good movie
