Woods of Ypres Live at Station 4 on May 14, 2011 

At 54:50 apprx I can hear my father yell, he passed away two years ago but I revisit this video often just to hear his voice. He introduced me to woods of ypres a long time ago and I always feel some type of way listening to them.

By the time I've seen this, he was already dead :(

RIP Station 4. Was the Metal venue for my college years at McNally Smith (ALSO RIP) Sadly these glorious men played a few months before i lived up there, but i will never forget how influential Station 4 was to metal

I really believe (maybe I'm biased) that if Earache had signed Woods around the time of "Pursuit of the Sun" they would have amassed a much larger fan base. So many fans didn't discover this band until after David's death.

Life is just pain and piss, it's something that David won't miss.

I love how loud the bass is on this. I've always loved the tone and the basslines in woods, but after the second album you could barely hear it.

I have come back to this video every year or so to remember and honor the greatest music thats ever lived. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for capturing this moment in time and preserving it for history.

Discovered this band because I was told they were the closest thing to Type O Negative, seeing as I got into Type O after Peter died. I feel like the world is out to get me once I fell in love with these guys and found out Gold already passed as well

Such a damn shame I only learned of Woods of Ypres a month or so after David's death... I would've loved to see them live, especially playing stuff off Woods 5. Career Suicide would be killer live!

Uhh.. just watched whole video and made a playlist for all of you. That was the best hour of my fucking life. A Meeting Place And Time is my personal favourite, I wasn't expecting that they will play that. There wasn't I Was Buried On Mount Pleasant Cemetary, strange. But, maan, it's so hard to play all best songs when they're so long :) And all of them can't be from Woods IV.. I really miss the band and David the most. Great video, great live show, thanks for uploading!

David's music has been such a damn positive influence in my life. I wish his family and friends and band mates the best RIP.

Gutted. These lads were so close to making it big in the metal world. Was so looking forward to them touring the UK. As least David Gold's music lives on even if in body and mind he himself does not.

I was meant to see WoY 2 months after David passed away. Although I am still heartbroken about David and the fact I will never see them (I owed David a drink!), this video makes me happy that their performance would have been brilliant. Thankyou for the upload, and R.I.P David

davids guitar disappeared in the mix after the bass cut out and got fixed, now all i hear is the second guitarist and hes a fret or two off on some of the riffs

Can someone please tell me who the bassist was at this time period? I can't for the life of me find out what his name is. On another note, I watched this video at least a hundred times by now, best live performance ever. David Gold was the biggest loss in music. Gone but not forgotten

Fuck fuck fuck! Wish I knew about this band as soon as Woods 4 came out. Would have been roadtripping like a motherfucker to see them live. Instead they came up on Pandora after David died. Argh.
