Aye, the person in the chat was kinda right, its not the birds knee. The bone structure of most animals is similar to ours, but slightly different concerning the "foot", the part thats against the ground. The birds "knee" as we see it is the ankle joint. Look at your pet doggo at home, his dew claw is basically his "thumb" if we compare it to our joints, this means he is walkin on his "fingers", the palm/sole is off the ground. Nearly all animals are like this (bears are more like us walkin on palms/soles) but birds we dont see the actual knee most times because its under feathers, so our brain doesnt make the connection and we see a "knee" instead of an ankle. An animal with a hoof has basically fused all thier finger bones into one, and they are walkin on the tips of their toes if compared to us.
