For your information when using the bandsaw you should always lower the blade guide down to just above the thickness of the wood you're cutting. Not only is it safer but also keeps the blade from wandering right or left. Keeps the blade straight making it way easier to control your cuts.
This is in a country where safety is not a priority. Also these are older machines that do not come with blade guards. Not all countries safety regulations are like the US or a European country.
@@jaymacgee_A_Bawbag_Blethering I hear you however my comment above (Emondotcalm) wasn't so much about criticizing technique but all about concern for the guy's safety! Speaking from experiance all it takes is one split second false move. Back on March 5th 2015 after 40+ years using a table saw without incident I finally made one mistake. I'm extremely lucky there was a top notch hand surgeon in the area and he was able to sew all the nerves and tendons back together. Even so I will never have full use of my right hand. Granted a band saw is a whole lot safer than a table saw but I was cringing watching all that exposed blade... 😬

My main problem is that I see this all the time from us lucky ones in the Developed world who have the money , time , machinery and resources to have the luxury of worrying about health and safety . When I see these guys in India and Pakistan risking their lives daily using forges , lathes and casting techniques from the 18th century I’m in awe of the fact they are not only willing but eager for the chance to do these tasks as that’s the only opportunity they have to feed themselves and their families . And then to see first world arrogant barracking of their efforts and sacrifice is kinda shitty tbh . Anyway , enjoy the rest of your day sir ✊ 👍🏴
