Annetjie, goed om van 'n Afrikaner hier te lees. Ekself draai soms met kameeldoring - veral penne. Ek het baie jare in die weste van Botswana gewoon en daar dikwels met kameel en hardekool gewerk. Beide baie hard. Groete.

@@henniebasson515 ek het gedink dit moet nogal 'n harde tipe hout wees. Die grein moet dus ook baie mooi uitstaan op draaiprojekte, maar ek neem aan die gereedskap sal ook redelik vinnig stomp raak?

No I live in the UK, found this wood online for the burner in the garden, once I got a good look at it thought some of it was too good to burn, I would like to get a bigger piece of it but apparently its a protected tree over there and they can only harvest bits from the floor? 👍

@@MattJordanWoodturning yes, it is on the red list of species, since it is very sought after as a long burning firewood and it can't regenerate fast enough to keep up with demand. However, I've seen a few projects where it is part of a drive to actively reintroduce it to the various hardwood species back on farms and game reserves. Google also spits out a few websites where it is still actively being sold locally. Not sure about legalities around export, though.
