I'm not a big fan of using a lot of epoxy either but sometimes it's necessary to save a piece that just isn't possible any other way. In this case it turned out great!

18:31 This piece turned out great since you used only a small amount of mica in the resin. Which keeps the attention on the beauty of the cherry wood. But it always hurts me when so much precious wood is going to dust. Therefore a coring system would help you to have less wood going to waste and paitsfor itself with more bowls or even bowl sets. Plus it has more sustainability. I wish I could sponsor you one but my budget is too tight.

I feel your pain, I have a few big burls waiting for the day 30”+ Although I can say stay tuned for the next one which is a slab cut of a big ash burl. 🤞it’s in the kiln
